Greater damage than said

Viloent trade unionism spoiled not W.Bengal alone ;it ruined the income growth of the lower section of the Indian Population and the industrial development of India. The research report by Thomas Piketty and Lucas Chancel says that during the era of Govt. controlled Economy(Mixed Economy) the income growth of lower section of the population had grown up till upto mid 70s and of the top1% rich people had come to 6% in 1980s. The income share of India’s top 1% rose from approximately 6% in 1882 -1883 to above 10% a decade later and then to 15% in 2000 and further still around by 23% by 2014.This is during Privatization loot era with tacit silence of those trade Unionists. The Militantancy of unions workers whiling away the time and the helpless of the management to take disciplinary action because of it’s prolonged nature and unhelpful labour laws and the Industrial Charter of Pub. Sector units telling that profit motivation is not a goal , all made Public Sector Industries go loss making despite good efforts by Officers.and workers who did contribute. That was said as failure of Public Sector industries;the privatization drama started R.Ponnambalam

inefficiency and corruption is to blame for failure of communism
by green goose on Mar 25, 2018 05:50 AM  | Hide replies

And how capitalism killed forests, wildlife, forest dwellers, urban biodiversity, native trees, oceanic fish and polluted soil, water and air is another story worth writing. This capitalist, anthropocentric perspective that speaks of progress as material excess and not peaceful survival is the reason why our society has become a cut-throat, greedy place to be. The Earth belongs as much to others organisms as it belongs to us so we need to share earth with everyone. Privatization of land and classification of trees as lumber resource, forests land as mineral resource, fresh water as supposedly unlimited water resource and also a place to dump sewage, people as human resource, mono crop agriculture as food resource, are some of the problems that plague our societies but we are too blinded by selfishness and the need to thrive in this society to be able to see it.

One thing remains. The unrecovered loan has been going up.What parliamentary committees had done?Had they raised it in Parliament.Corporates had got Rs.55000 cr loans. Did not these communist M.P. know it.Why they had not fought for more equitable loan dispersal.Govts. killed water bodies. What our communists had done against that and against misappropriation of lands with the Govt.legalizing it .It wasa great let downR.Ponnambalam

You have said right,But why it had not been said in appropriate time in appropriate forum by people meant for that. The entire country was dancing to GDP as though you and I take GDP to market to buy things. In real terms we are not having Purchasing power The recent research report by Thomas Piketty and Lucas Chancel that came published in news paper is an eye opener. The Pvt. sector still wants to garner more, loot more .Their supporters are coming out with all misleading projections .Why communists are not coming in open against that. That is the question the poor ask.Even if there had been mistakes in the past they had to be corrected and the show should go on in right lines.that is not happening

We can share?
by V Nagarajan on Mar 22, 2018 02:07 PM  | Hide replies

We can share prosperity but how can we share poverty?
The CPI/M did precisely that. They made everyone poor and tried to share it.The pity is that people voted for them for so long and ruined themselves.

We cannot share prosperity of others.India has enough wealth.Top 10% has top control about 74 percent of wealth of the county The poorest 30 percent, meanwhile, had just 1.4 percent of the total wealth. The Rich also have 24 Hrs. a day. They find no time to plan to invest these 74% wealth. They need not share that wealth;they are unable to invest even so that people get employement opportunities. The militant trade unionism killed P.S.I.Capitalizing on that the PVT/ sector looted the country and wants to loot more.No much talk from powerful sources is coming out. That is question R.Ponnambalam

In West Bengal, TMC party office is the only industry open for 24 hours, without any holiday & no bandh.
Earlier it was CPM party office, now TMC has replaced and running syndicate government.
Any house repairing, any building painting – people have to give money to local councilors. It came so many times in the paper & so many people have been killed.

It was very very sad story and good to recall.A man may commit suicide but here is a case where an entire race have decide to commit suicide.Unfortunately, the present Govt.is following exactly the same Communism/Opportunism and successful in burying what skeleton is left behind CPM. CPM is punished severally but noting has improved. We failed to take lesson from Chennai/Gujarat/Maharashtra/Karnataka ,even Chattisgarh who are going ahead very fast.
In next 50/60 years Hindu Bengalees will survive in Bangaluru/Gurgaon or USA.

It is well known that there is lot of labor unrest in WB over the last 3-4 decades. Trade Union leaders with the connivance of so called politicians have done tremendous damages to Industries in the name of socialism as a result lot of industrialists moved to other states and they are hesitant to set up industries in WB. Lenin and Car Mark policies are reasonably good but the trade unions interpreted wrongly. Even for trivial matters, lot of Bands & strikes, violence was a routine practice with affiliation of Naxal movement. Innocent and poor people suffered most as their livelihood was snatched by these hardliners. Most or the labour migrated to other states for survival of their family. The state economy growth became weak and no development took place all these years. Now, unemployment is rampant and intellectual are highly disappointed and they did not find jobs in WB leaving to other States. Hardliners Communists are still adamant to compromise with their personal ego and principals sustaining tremendous to WB.
