this is an election weapon of b j p govt and for 2019 , the govt already understood the bottleneck and request the Indian Medical Association to continue it for one year and will be solved all after election .

come to bhubaneswar and see the charges of KIMS hospital which is a pvt hospital . Their lower end beds/rooms which is still better than some of the pvt hospitals are charged for RS 150 /day . You should have good intentions to serve people . healthcare is a noble profession . If you expect good profits then go and invest in mutual funds , dont open a hospital for that.
It's time the medical profession too is brought under the preview of consumer protection right and also essential service act. The author seems to be projecting lopsided views as most of the so called corporate hospitals are wary of the new scheme and don't wish to dilute their earning margins. It's a well known fact that majority of the corporate hospitals fleece the patients, advice un-necessary tests insit on getting pathological test from only certain labs with who they have a fee undercutting contract

Medical profession even gov hospital are under the purview of Consumer protection act.. Even a poor patient wants to be treated by a BMW driven Doc... Patients these days goes by showsha bazi first

pooor mentality of indians towards doctor. Go to any decent hotel you will not get room cheaper than 3000 and you people want ceaseran section operation in 9000 which includes 7 day stay,surgeon charges,anaesthetist charges,nurses charges and medicine charges.you and government should be ashmed of such things.

And who is this idiot spokes man of mafia called IMA. How can a room cost 4900 in b city? it cant be more than 1200/ Doctors owners of hositals and medicine supplier after modiya came have started looting .bills are in lacs which is absurd for India like country.Time to arrest hospital owners and doctors .Thye even dont pay honest taxes as most money is diverted in cash. Every one knows .it is no secret. Government has put good prices and hospitals must do it or face arrest ,take over and closure. Government should open own hospitals. and double MBBS seats .Insurance companies in India are too big looters. Insurance is basically non profit business .

Government should allocate budget for education… country should get good Doctors first... Good Gov hospitals... good affordable medicines.. Good support systems like well trained technicians... nursing staff... with out which every thing will fall flat... as one can provide insurance but where will be a robust medical care system?

man you should understand what he was saying … room cost is considering all the required cost which occurs to fulfil the criteria laid down by govt to run a hospital. do you know a ventilator which is a essential thing required to keep ready in case of complication in any surgery costs .. 10 to 12 lakh rs for 3 to 4 year . it may not require for each patient ..but who will pay for that . you people pay 2000 rs / day for any guest house in a city for 1 day … in a hospital you want trained nursing staff .. costing 20000 rs payment for 8 hrs ..just an example . and because of life is involved many other things are required to be kept ready , like generator , inverter , ventilator , defibrillator , fire prevention system ,hospital waste disposal system , arrangments of relatives …. experience doctor ...which ypou don't require in hotel . open you eyes …. I DO KNOW CORPORATE HOSPITALS MAKE LOT OF MONEY ...BUT IF YOU READ CAREFULLY ..WE R TALKING ABOUT SMALL AND MIDDLE SCALED HOSPITALS WHICH PROVIDE 45 % OF HEALTH CARE IN INDIA.

Agree with you sir.... Average cost of Caesaraen is around 20k to 40k for a Medium to Large hospitals and small hospitals it is around 15 to 20K. This person says that minimum it costs 55K. He is only running a Hospital Mafia and is not happy with the kitty given .... Also Good doctors in India means Higher consultation fees. That should change.

ok .. so if you agree that small hospitals charge 15 to 20k ..for ceasarian section . look at the charges in the yojana ..it is 9000 rs ...sir it includes all investigations , drugs , anesthesia charges , surgeons charges … OMG ..and food and transport for the patient .

Medical has become day time robbery. When you go to a government hospital with medical emergency in an ambulance to get admitted, the 1st response is no beds available and then you will be introduced to a middle man who will have list of private hospitals with details of treatment cost etc. in different hospitals. This nexus between govt. hospitals and private hospitals are rampant. What IMA is doing to stop this ?. They want to loot the public in the name of quality medicine & treatment. IMA is infested with money minded people.
