Anyway who is worried about the poor
by Jayaprakash Balan on Jul 09, 2018 11:37 AM

India and Indian Govt. are famous for planning and imagining innumerable schemes in the name of serving the poor, but they have never concentrated or put efforts in ensuring that all the schemes which are brought out for the poor really reaches them or helps them. Anyway, who is India is really worried for poor or to help them. India's poor are destined to die everyday and so that is what is happening since past years of independence and will continue to happen. In continuation Modi Govt. is only better that they have atleast implemented schemes and policies for the poor, but they have ensured that rich and business people and black money earning people are not affected at all. So, money and corruption still works and even though claim may be there that things are better now, nothing more than miniscule. Govt. depeartments still work in the same pace and attitude and so common people will always be the sufferers unless one earns lot and be selfish and don't care about anything

Sir, This scheme is in vogue in TN over 10 years - but I am not sure of what the article says about. I noticed advertisements of some hospitals as Authorised Hospital, TN Health Insurance Scheme. (Not sure) I think all govt hospitals, big corporate and medium sized hospitals seems to have been authorised. One thing TN has more number of such hospitals - area - Tier I,Tier II and City wise and population wise.

Typically flawed scheme
by Inzzy on Jul 09, 2018 11:22 AM  | Hide replies

Another hare-brained scheme of Narendra Dunce Moron compromising on the health of Indian citizens but slyly providing a back door for private insurance players to enter. It is obvious that this Govt does not want to spend any money on this scheme & wants Insurers to foot it which is why PSU Insurers will not be able to manage it . It is high time that this Govt is kicked out or else they will sell everything in this country at throw away prices & provide a bonanza for corrupt private companies to milk the poor.

come to bhubaneswar and see the charges of KIMS hospital which is a pvt hospital . Their lower end beds/rooms which is still better than some of the pvt hospitals are charged for RS 150 /day . You should have good intentions to serve people . healthcare is a noble profession . If you expect good profits then go and invest in mutual funds , dont open a hospital for that.

Rediff always try to create negative image for any good work done by Govt and India has so many crooks who are ready to write such things for rediff. I never seen anything positive for NDA Govt in Rediff's eye. This article is like they are predicting whether it will Pappu or Vikas

Where is Quality Medical care
by biren maur on Jul 09, 2018 11:06 AM  | Hide replies

Insurance is fine but where is quality medical care? Specially with the coming of private medical colleges & deteriorating status of medical education how will insurance help? Even the newly opened AIIMS are short of faculty … in this economy only persons making money are brokers and only business left is of commission

This scheme is a newly attempted one. So as we move forward the Govt may upwardly revise some cost of procedures as pressure from medical lobby builds up. To use the Flop is premature. Like the Govt revised the GST slabs and rates were revised more than once, rates under this scheme is also not cast in stone.

Do not make vague statements. NaMo govt. reduced stent cost, knee replacement cost. You are claiming they are trying to help the medical lobby.
