loan waiver
by SATENDRA GOEL on Jun 08, 2017 08:18 PM

It has become a habit to waive of loans to farmers ,big industrialists, politicians, and anyone who has a huge backing.Who suffers it is the salaried people, traders and allthe honest tax payers.People pay taxes for development but out here we see that the the govt is busy writing of loans or writing of interest etc who suffers it is the person who is unable to protest. It is true that the farmers are committing suicide for not being able to repay loans which is very unfortunate, but writing off is no solution. Some people will take advantage of the situation while some will suffer. The govt should take up the matter with the banks who have given loans and which are not being returned to take up the matter individually and see the exact position of the farmer and then act accordingly.

At least rich farmers need to be brought under tax net.
Further political parties should not make false promise only to win elections. They somehow grab the power like in this case but country have to pay a very heavy price for their wrong doings. Beware of JUMLAS

Waive off
by MNN on Jun 08, 2017 05:23 PM  | Hide replies

If farmers loans are to be waived off, then loans of city people should also be waived off. We pay income tax, property tax, water tax, swacch tax, toll tax, road tax, petrol tax, krishi tax, professional tax, entertaintment tax, tax on the food we eat in restaurants & many more . We contribute the maximum , so that others loans can be waived off . So why not waive off city peoples loans also ?? Blanket amount- say Rs 50 lakhs.

Everyone wants free loan, free rice , free etc, etc.
who will pay for all freebies or free gifts. Indains attitude has to be changed towards Freebies.
loan waiver or freebies is not right solution to improve any country. which country is giving free loans.
Indaia is not developed, because of freebies.

Yes. Everyone wants everything free.

And the richest corporates in the country (Ambanis, Adanis, Agarwals, Mittals, etc) want as much as Rs 11 lakh crores free !

They want the 11 lakh crores taken as loans by them from public sector banks written off !!

And the earlier Congress led UPA and the current komaaaali party led NDA governments were and are equally determined to write them off by transferring this amount as a liability on the exchequer !

Angry farmers on a rampage.
by Kersie Madon on Jun 08, 2017 04:38 PM  | Hide replies

Farmers are bound to be very, very angry with Modi for not waving off their loans as bad debts. So they will come out on the streets to show public that they are spilling milk & destroying vegetables but not allowing it to reach aam aadmi. Cameraman are ready with their shutters in the hope that public will help farmers to get their loans written off. They should not have been given loans in the 1st place. Will I get a loan from bank without security? We are not sure where the farmers lost all the loan cash they got. What guarantee is there that they lost it in farming alone & not blow the cash elsewhere. Afterall, they saw big money 1st time & knew then itself that they were not going to repay their loans. Vote bank politics will come into play & political parties will back them for their own gains. Loan amount cannot be written off but farmers will do anything to get their loand written off & come again & again for more loans.
