GOVT AND BUSINESS!!!!
by anand kondaguli on Jul 09, 2017 10:52 PM

Government must only be in governance and never ever even attempt to be in business!!
Take any sector from Auto industries (maharashtra scooters) to transport...Govt has failed us in every sector...employees have always looted tax payer's amount and to bail out loss making firms, again the tax payer's money is used.

looting twice and damaging the country's growth very significantly.

ISRO n DRDO and few more could be an exception or public knows very little about their

Unending perks to staff
by Navneet Bhatnagar on Jul 09, 2017 06:14 PM

Not only the staff member or his/ her dependent relatives is entitled to innumerable free flights, but this facility is also availed by sons-in-law after the daughter of staff member gets married. How can a company where such familial relationships are encouraged can make profit in today's competitive landscape?

by susarla suryaprakasam on Jul 09, 2017 04:10 PM

vow, waht a discovery. Know it in 1972 when I was working in BARC, and my room-mate in Air India. Then itself, a peon used to earn 10 times his salary as OT.

abolish public sector
by Rajendran Srinivasan on Jul 07, 2017 09:21 PM

If public sector run by govt are always a failure
after eating private middle class hard earned tax
money, then what is the use. Are private middle class tax payers fools? The loss so happened should be collected from those concerned, even though retired. People are frustrated. The politicians and govt servants for own looting every time would start an enterprise using tax payers fund and after sometime recklessly say it is under loss and would like to sell. Why this loss? Who are all responsible for this? These questions should be answered before selling the enterprise. Media , for their own benefits are afraid to raise such questions. If a party is unable to run a govt with tax funds let public takeover the corporation and parliament to run the state.

ASHKO KUMAR DHANUKA
Fate of Air India.
by ASHKO KUMAR DHANUKA on Jul 07, 2017 11:22 AM  | Hide replies

To run Air India profitably govt. must not look upon private players, but it must act prudently with some business sense.Like:-
(1) Make Air India an independent entity free from political interferences & "GOONDAGARDI".
(2) Stop free travel allowances to politicians, bureaucrats,AI staffs, ministers,MPs,MLAs etc..Let them pay & travel, however, govt. or the respective dept. can pay them extra perks & allowances.
(3)Law must be made & strictly enforced so that any VVIP do not expect extra luxury or privilege from the airlines. They must travel like normal public. If required the respective state govt, or central govt. can arrange chartered trip for the VVIP wherever necessary but the airline must not be burdened.
(4) Free hand must be given to the Air India board to take all strategic decisions, govt.can only suggest but must not enforce upon anything on the airlines.
If these points are taken care of there cannot be any reason for Air India running into loss as the picture is made out to be.

Air India
by SATENDRA GOEL on Jul 07, 2017 11:20 AM

Govt should get out of business fast when they are incurring losses, tax payers money should be utilized properly and it should be made accountable.Increasing of D.A, perks Orop etc the burden falls on the tax payers instead of commending them they are being threatened so eventually the trader is in fact the worst of.He does not get any pension, pays all the taxes, gets threatened if he does not pay taxes and eventually he is burdened by further taxes since the govt writes of loans to farmers and so called big industrialists who have convienently siphoned off their bank loan.High time govt bought out a scheme that a individual will get a certain amt of the I.T paid after he has reached the age of 60
