Privatisation is a must. Other airlines are far more respected and disciplined. IT would be a lost battle for the Government if they do anything else. The new management needs a gun and a whip to kick this lazy giant into some positive action
Work culture and AI/ Joke of the millennium! There is absolutely none--or, if at all, it is just that of loot and plunder by all, from the top to the lowest of all. How and on what basis, for years, the CVO/ED(V) has been "selected" is itself a question that can and should be investigated along with a study of the contribution made by those top deputationists. There is just not ONE reason for the systematic downfall of AI. Govt is yet to take action, for political compulssions, against a minister who was directly involved in its ruin. Is the CVC listening?
Why Mallya Ran out?? All private firm are running in PROFIT?? then Why Mukesh Ambani is selling grocery to Slipper?? Why PRIVATE Schools ARE NOT PRODUCING CLASS student or CITIZEN. Here in INDIA we have to teach on NATIONAL TELIVEISION where to SQAT. We INDIANS build EXPRESSWAY & after 10 years & losing 1000 of life we teach how to drive safely. So in short privatization is not the answer it should be run by postive thinking & not by business men as it is now??

Any attempt to update it, mend it or restructure it will be an unscrupulous exercise by any and all economic standards.
It has lost the status of even a notional airline leave alone the status of national airline just because prime ministers use it in the most luxurious way that can always be outsourced.
If huge warships can be scrapped why not just scrap this moth eaten behemoth ?
