Rediff should try to write an Article showing positive side of Demonetisation. Lots of article is written showing queue is long. Huge Advantages are there for historic demonetisation move.
100% removal of fake money, drastic reduction of Black Money and Corruption are the major points to be written. Hope the intention to write such good article will also be generated soon.
Seems like one more article in typical rediff mould. Deliberately bent upon dengrading the present dispensation. Now since the writer could not get any other subject, so a novel idea to invoke the name of his daughter.
Okay, when you say that Modi has shown your daughter pre- 1990 India, have you mentioned that at that stage, both India and China were at the same level of economic development.That in 70s, our GDP, our per capita income was similar. Infact our infrastructure was better. Our education facilities were better. We had IITs. We had IIMs. And China did not have any thing like this. But during the last thrirty years, it has outgrown India by five times . It has infrastructure which can over shadow that of US and Europe many times over. Its technical institutes, business schools etc. are much better than ours.
How it has done this Because our leaders ( mainly Congress ruled us for major part of the last 70 years ), lacked the strategic vision. Our politicians were busty filling up their homes. They were only engrosed in caste politics and counting their ill gotten wealth. Knew only how to win the elections every five years.
Now when some one is taking some harsh measures, the oppostion unites as it sees its ill gotten wealth of not finding any use. It is a pity that we have political parties like Congress , AAP in opposition, who can not think of any national issues but have to dwell in petty politics.

For the first time I am tempted to appreciate Firdaus Ashraf article.My youth was spent in 60ties Que was a part of life.This phase will pass.I am confident out of this a new India will emerge
Nobody not even Modi has asked anyone to do Austerity that you don't go to movies have expensive food etc..do whatever you want spend how much you want to spend you have debit/credit cards..only people who are doing Austerity are those who have Black Money and can't use it now..

very well explained. the noise against Govt. decision is only being made by such politicians and black money hoarders who have vested interests. Every right thinking person clearly understands the game plan of the currupt.
pls make up your mind. for someone who is privileged enough not to stand in a queue for 20 years, I am sure you have a credit card or two that every outlet in a typical mall would accept. No, we don't feel sorry for you, but find this funny.
Lastly, basic reading of economics will tell you money is not just "cash". So dear sir, there is no shortage of money in the economy, just a temporary shortage of cash.
