expected more responsible journalism. All you so called intellectuals will give sermons for hours on black money and corruption...but when it comes to doing your bit you cant stand in queue for few minutes...double standards
If he has enough money in bank, y wait in a queue today and withdraw? Cards are accepted everywhere now. Could have drawn money after a couple of days.
It has clearly been announced that limit to withdrawal is 10000/- per day. Then Y simply ask for 20000/- and make an issue of it?
Will he actually use 10000/- worth of 10 an 20 rupee notes? Or is it just going to lie at home and create problems for those who may really need it?

Exactly. He just wasted the time of people behind him in the queue. Another 1 person could have been served in that time. Also why he wanted to withdraw 20,000 is beyond me. I don't need that much cash for a whole month. I pay most of my bills online including phone, gas, electricity, cable, etc. I only need cash for groceries, vegetables, milk, etc. Even that I will buy in a store that accepts cards so that I do not crowd the banks.
I have been meeting people as part of my job and almost universally every one was in fulsome praise for this move by the PM. The people were from all walks of life, including rozi roti workers, housemaids, roadside vendors, middle class homemakers, among several others. All of them accepted that this was posing some problems but were willing to put up with this because it was in the national interest. Strange that every one who was met by Mr Ashraf mirrored the journalists' views.
It is Media creation ...journalists should have sense of responsibility in publishing this kind of articles ...Older generation initiated spoiling the system..our generation carried it further and spoiled it more ..this move is for betterment..even when starts exercising to improve health definitely curse some one for pain..let us bear it for a while and let us give better society for the coming generation..
