Misunderstanding the Demonetisation Objectives
by tarkeshwar singh on Dec 27, 2016 05:34 PM  | Hide replies

It is the beginning of E- transaction era.
Surprisingly, the people choose to buy train/plain tickets on line but oppose/loathe e-transactions.

WHY ?

we can not negate the decision even if it was a blunder. We have to follow Buddha's teaching, just live in the present, which is the truth of the moment.

Rationing should continue for one more month
by karunakargn karunakargn on Dec 27, 2016 03:37 PM

First thing, need not print all 16 Lakh Notes. Also, rationing of notes should be carried for one more month. Otherwise, culprits will encash all the money they have deposited in anonymous name and run away.

Biased calculation
by Expert Comments on Dec 27, 2016 03:31 PM  | Hide replies

Writer says 24,023 million pieces of notes are required. Since we brought higher denomination 2000 notes there will be less notes required

Writer is naive and assumes that hoarded cash (black money) will also be replaced and replenished with new money. Govt has no plans to print for hoarding too... Hope he realizes that.

Govt is promoting and propagating e-transctions, so that will reduce dependency on cash.

The printing press never worked 2 shifts in the past they are now working, so the production capacity is increased by 70-80%. This fact was ignored by writer

Do not agree, it was needed rather one decimal is to be removed from the currency so that handling of currency is reduced to 1/10. Today Rs.100 is equal to Rs.1 of 1950.
Of course, Modi could not remove people grievance rather created tax terror, only next election will decide his fate.
