How many countries has James Wilson run? Especially a country like India with so many security challenges? What makes him an authority on anything?
Does he have any idea how menacing the issue of black money and fake notes had become? Doing nothing was not an option.

Its no use of pointing the mistakes in analysis like Demonetization aim is to reduce cash in circulation so the printing press output is immaterial since his agenda is just to abuse government and government policies

rubbish article
by AM Haree on Dec 27, 2016 09:28 PM

This article written is just to demonise Modi by exploiting unwanted figures. 1st why should the entire amount withdrawn should be replaced with new currency. If it has be replaced then why withdraw. Even a peon in RBI will know the numbers told by James wilson. Objective is to remove cash then why replace. there are hiccups and people are slowly moving to cashless mode. Only if there is a pain there will be gain. We have put up with corruption and bribes for 70 years. Nothing wrong in putting up with this short term pain.

Demonetisation: It's a monumental disaster in the offing!

I do not agree. Our's is a corrupt country, corruption of thought, corruption of blood, corruption of deeds. We deceive even those who give birth to us. We deceive our children with false promises. We deceive our neighbours. This action of demonetisation is not even an upheaval. Several thousands of poor were benefited by way of commission for exchanging the ill-gotten money comprising un-paid tax. In the process, the tax due for Govt. remained unpaid, lest their names will become public, shaming them. How the billions have been exchanged by politicians is a mystery. We deserve such shakes every now and then. I thank Sri Modiji for this. My request is that the cash-less be made compulsory in all transactions and accountability to be fixed for all. If beheading is made compulsory for the evaders sans SC intervention or faster justice, the better.

the fact that not a single world renowned economist has been entrusted to handle any country underlines the limitations of academians. We did have one good person but then administrative control was lost.

Tax theft and its illegitimate children like corruption in ranks scams and crony capitalism need to have a penal price tag..sadly today these practitioners have no fear whatsoever but instead have immense pride for their shameful shenanigans..almost like a measure of success
