Is this author a administrator!! Can he run a municipal corporation with all his well based knowledge!! The ability and stretch of people who are limited to their powerpoint thesis often dismiss new ways of working. Their books teach them to become copybook sytle.

Rediff can continue to write such paid articles. People of this country will continue to support this move because this is a long-term benefit for this country.

skewed point
by Pervez Musharraf on Dec 27, 2016 07:43 PM

I think the motive behind was never one to one replacement of old notes..cashless should be the way forward and this alone can pioneer a non corrupt system

DEMONETISATION A GREAT LEAP FORWARD FOR A BILLION
by rishi on Dec 27, 2016 07:34 PM

......Indians who have embraced Modi's mission against corruption and blackmoney and the change needed as much as enduring the difficulties of cash for some time as responsible citizens. However, on the other side, The Author and the article Is As Useless As The Stupidly Long Essay no one has the time to read.....the misleading heading is enough to convey the idiotic levels of negativity of the writer that must have been born out his shock on hbis illegal-cash-turned into trash in Modi's one shot. In short, the writer is Anti-Modi and he could have said so in one sentence. The Nation has moved forward in the last 46 days faster than it ever did in the last 65 years. And that is the great achievement of demonetisation. LIKE ONE GREAT ECONOMIST SAID RECENTLY " DEMONETISATION IS ALSO THE FINEST EXAMPLE OF CITIZEN-GOVERNMENT PARTNERSHIP AGAINST CORRUPTION, BLACKMONEY AND BLACKMONEY MAFIAS AND THEIR PATRONS....

=======================================

Everyone in difficulty due to demonetisation, but everyone is happy, because:

1.Poor man thinks the rich man is finished

2.Servant thinks maalik is finished

3.Worker thinks boss is finished

4.Patient thinks Doctor is finished

5.Clerk thinks Bureaucrat is finished

6.Bureaucrat thinks politicians are finished

7.Ruling party thinks opposition is finished

8.And opposition thinks Modi is finished!

9.Finaly people forget own pain when they enjoy pain of others. That's life.

Life is beautiful, because Misery loves company!

When I become the Prime Minister
by JA on Dec 27, 2016 07:27 PM  | Hide replies

When i become the prime minister I will close all currency notes in the country as i have heard corruption and black money takes place if there is cash or money in our country.

I will ban gold silver and land in the country asall these items are black money.

I will ban all political parties as all of them have black money

I will have to dismiss all the officers in the country as they are the people who collect he black money buy houses land gold and also keep it as cahs

Plus i will have to ban industries as due to them licences and approvals are required and government officers want black money to pass the projects

your third statement could have read ...

"I will ban all 'opposition' parties, as 'I think or I have been told', only they have black money"

Why replace all notes ?
by Satheesh KR on Dec 27, 2016 07:04 PM

When the government is talking about less cash economy why to print 24,420 million notes again and circulate. Even if 30% of the population moves to cashless transactions. It will be a great achievement which will bring in more taxes. This corrupt media is unnecessarily creating scene as if they are doing countdown for a rocket launch 5,4,3,2, 1 day to go......
