Modi's pipe dream of the bullet train would be at the cost of common man being burdened with more taxes, overall increase in railway fares which is already quite high. Take the case of Diesel and petrol, Modi Govrnment can be prod that the cost of these fuels are the highest in this part of the world while the international prices are coming down. The government claims to be pro-POOR.

Go & do a course in learning Rapid English, before writing on websites which exposes your ignorance of English.
The tickets will be costlier than air travel. Moreover India should not spend such colossal amounts on futuristic ideas. There are other areas where railways have to improve. Money should be spent on those.

Any foreign country which takes up this project, will have to build up from scratch, because our existing railway lines, signalling, engines, coaches cannot be used for such fast trains. Therefore, the huge investments need to be recovered in around 20 years, for that the fares will have to be kept very high around Rs 2500- Rs 4000, for chair cars & executive chairs respectively. Such type of fares can only be afforded by businessmen, who do not have to pay from their pocket, but show all these in their tax sheets.
Considering our economic state of affairs, Mr Modis plan for bullet train is laughable. There is not a proper place to pee at railway stations, lets do the basic facilities at trains and platforms available for public before talking big things.

Bullet train is not need of India. This is only for upper class people who is in Thousand nos. Actual need is for Intercity Trains at every 15-20 minutes. This much big expense is not useful for majority of INDIAN, Govt should re-think for bullet train and drop the plan. Govt should take fast action for Intercity trains, which is prime necessity, it will cover majority of INDIAN.
This is simply an insult to this poor nation. With this kind of money, special dedicated commuter corridors can be constructed which can link all metros and major cities with the nearby towns within 200 kms radius which will reduce population pressure on major cities as people can shift to smaller nearby towns.
The bullet train project should be cleared/ financed from the black money stashed outside India, subject to the government making possible its earliest return. This way it will not be a burden on the exchequer.
