Immediate reaction in banning is right. They can be accommodated after some regulations being followed, later.Every taxi must be made to display the RTO where they have been registered on the back side othe taxi in bold letters.Drivers anti indents should be checked before employing them, which may be a difficult task, but inevitable.
It is only a knee jerk reaction. When all sundry pounced upon the Delhi police, Government has to show some action being taken. Mr.Khosla's suggestion of having Aadhar card based or PAN card based issuance of permit will bring down this kind of activities to a great level, although cannot be wiped out completely. Even that 16/12/2012 Nirbhaya case accused are being treated like filth in their jail.

Uber need not be banned but it should be severely penalized. Every Company should know it's responsibility and a derelict employee need not result in the Company going out of business but it should entail substantial financial penalty on it.

Now Benguluru tries to over take it with only small children being victimised. Shame to Bangaloreans..
Stopping is not the solution. Putting rules and regulations in place is the urgent need. on line commerce, taxi booking and many other activities are coming as people find it easy and useful. Hence time to time putting proper rules and regulations in place is the duty of Govt. If a firm is not following, it can be stopped.
Khosla because you had an opportunity to deliver something, just don't do bla bla, immediate measures wewre taken to stop, so that at later date after looking in to all safety possibilities, they can come back with more safety and authentic way of operating the cabs
