Does anybody know what legal recourse is there if the payment on corporate credit card is not made by the company. What right have credit card companies have to upset my CIBIL score as the card was not issued on my credentials.

Interesting to note that ...

.... he did not bother to sue the police who took no action.
They would have sent him off to Turkey by now, had he done that.

FIR against Chanda Kochhar

This is ridiculous. The CEO is not a part of the crime. May be, civil liability is on the bank and so the CEO being the head is required to address the complaint. But to haul her in a criminal court is an abuse of criminal laws. It is certainly an overreach. These incidents rise to such ridiculous levels because people at lower levels in banks are unresponsive to complaints and make customers run from pillar to post.

Absolutely agree Kanu. Nobody will ever understand what wrong was done at the part of the end user. He must have surely misused it or does not know how to use it. Partial knowledge is always dangerous. It is driving car without a license and then blaming the car company.

Unresponsive lower levels are the responsibility of the higher levels.
Higher levels make hay when the lower levels do things correctly.
So when they don't do it correctly, better be ready to face the blame.

Credit card fraud

Well the Banks are not left far behind in the credit card fraud. They are also coming up and doing their best to take part in the fraud and establish a crime record for themselves. Last time I was defrauded by Make My Trip as I wanted to cancel my ticket where the journey was not undertaken. The website credited the money to a fictitious account and proved that they have paid me back. This is how things work and you have to live with it.

This bank is nothing else than cheaters of first order. Good that the CEO is summoned. She represents women power. Agree but she stands in the same league as her employer bank.

MISLEADING TITLE , Reality seems to be consumer rights thing
by ajai cs on Aug 22, 2014 06:11 PM

The case is not against Chanda Kochar. It is against whoever is head of ICICI. That is what happens for all consumer court cases.

This is a misleading report.
