Do you know that your debit and credit cards are issued for use both in India and abroad, even though more than 95% card holders don't go abroad. If banks issue cards only for domestic use these cards can't be used for foreign frauds. Hope the RBL's recent customer charter will compell banks to curtail this.
RBI must mandate that every bank must and should appoint a person in every of their branch (Not out soursed inflated tiltled executives but a regulaer and competent payroll employee) for one on one greivance/complaint registering, recording and resolution at the barnch level itself. This call centre customer care is just use le sss and will at the most solve petty non financial matters like account balance, last paid etc and product info. This is a must to enhance the levels of participation of people in banking and obtaining and availing several other banking related services and products with trust and confidence. This is good for the banks, customers and the country as it will increase banking activity and business in the country several times in these days of banking being basic necessity just as shelter, water etc.

mOST OF THE SERVICES ONE GENERALLY DOES AT A BANK BRANCH CAN DONE ON LINE OR ATMs,,KIOSKS.NO NEED TO ENTER A BRANCH,UNLESS ONE NEEDS TO WATCH TV OR RELAX IN AIRCONDITIONED LOBBY.
SBI Cards, Visa Verification Dept & fraudulent merchants do the same Eg Makemydreamholiday & EMMARR INFOSOLUTIONS. SBI Credit Card is just shirking its responsibility even after giving proof. Sure, without their knowledge, these things cannot continue for long. How they are able to sent messages on behalf of bank ? How they are not taking responsibility for these illegal activities ?
