We should all avoid flying by air India. The airline needs to be closed. Automatically corrupt ministers and officials will not able to spend tax payers' money as per their desire.
One the ministers - who ran it as if it is some other grand fathers property ,next the policy of neglecting merit and reservation .finally the employees least courteous and horrible service every where - it is like we do not care

It is wrong to pick on Air India alone. Our ministers have closed down essential industries and changed over to imports of even minor items that could have been produced by small / cottage industries. The result is foreign exchange drain and the technology in reverse gear. How do we create jobs in our own country? I have not travelled by Air India since 2003 when I was denied boarding despite my having the confirmed air Ticket to Dubai. I provide technology to a group of Industries to UAE and am a frequent traveller to Dubai since then. My technical help is needed in the UAE but not in my own country, where large industries of this product have closed down to construct housing colonies, a more profitable proposition. This government has no foresight.
I have travelled once from Abu Dhabi to Tirchy(TN) on a direct flight. The flight was full and crew started 30 min earlier and reached 30 min earlier. All were happier, sadly this service was discontinued.
It is easy to kill a goose that lays golden eggs. Now AirLanka is minting money on this route. S. Dhanamjaya

it was dreem of indra gandhi, who nationalised, air india, burm shell and formed indian oil co, she nationalised, all banks, so that she could gift account holders money to jhawar rojgar yojna, all the mother of all ills it was authority without responsibility, and now u see the results
in 1985 i was returning from USA to india by AI,i had my tickets and wanted some information. went AI office of sanfrancisco, waited in the office for 2 hours though there was no other than me in the office. one of the employee asked her colleague to reply, " she has gone for lunch, " for the expected call. this was the last time i traveled by air india.
SRK ask his friend to book AI flight from USA to INDIA in movie PARDESH so IPL czar are looting AI by free of cost travel as if AI is there private property but we pay tax for AI?
WHY ONLY AIR INDIA. WHAT ABT BSNL /MTNL.DO UREAALY BELIVE IN THESE SO CALLED REVIVAL PLANS.IT IS JUST A EYE WASH IN FRONTOF PUBLIC,TO SAFE GUARD THEIR SANCTITY.EVERY PERSON ABOVE GM /UNION LEADERS ARE PAID FOR THEIR LIFETIME BY PRIVTE AIRLINE/TELECOM COMPANIES TO FINISH THESE GOV.OWNED COMPANIES.
