Dear author, good attempt to high light apathies of a national carrier. But who will bell the cat. The issue seems to be so complex, one would take ages to unearth the entire truth. Given the credentials of our agencies like CBI, CVC and others one is not sure about a fair investigation. Such incidents create a deep anguish and a desire to fight against the people who are still living with colonial mind set. If you take all the corruption cases at higher levels into account, initial attempts by the establishment to deny and hide the facts and the tardy speed of investigation one wonders whether the we are following the correct system. Are we heading towards another revolution.
the main culprits are the officers who have given away the most lucarative sectors away to foriegn carriers like ATQ/LHR/YYZ and now Qatar /Uzbekistan/Turkmenistan are enjoying WHY?
It's a no-brainer... The same useless party which created this disaster called AI, is the same venal Cabal of Corruption which has ruled over this backward, poverty-stricken cesspool of filth and squalor for the past seven decades.. They ran AI just like they did the country, with the same pettiness, incompetence, ineptitude and lack of caring or vision...as AI goes, so does the country or vice-versa.
It is common knowledge ,that in India those entrusted with protecting something ,are the ones who are the first to destroy it.So we lawmakers who are mostly lawbreakers.Policemen who are are criminals in uniform, bureaucrats who look the otherway when rules are trmapled upon by the mighty so on and on
Basically govt has no business to be in business. All public sector undertakings are basically there to serve the greedy needs of the unscrupulous , selfish , self serving politicians. This fact has been proved umpteen times but who cares? At the cost of India's development and welfare of the people , precious tax payers money is going into a drain.
The question should be, why is Air India being poisoned? For the benefit of another airline.
If a simple analysis is made, the results will speak for themselves. Over the last nine years, 80% of airlines have made losses regardless of their operations or classification. Only one airline has constantly made profits.
Guess ????
Reason ?????
Not management, the management in other airlines is far better but they are in losses. Someone, somewhere is pulling the wires and plugs to encourage one airline while making the others loose.
Airlines are loosing chiefly due to the tax structure. Almost 80% of the charges paid per ticket is towards taxes. If the taxes are rationalised, they will start making profits.
As far as our national carrier is concerned: There is a caption in the railways stating, "The railway property is your own, please keep it clean." A large number of people interpret this correctly and they refuse to buy or pay for the tickets as you really do not need to pay to anyone to use your own goods.
Air India is also Indian property, so there is no reason for the Govt. to pay for the services at all!

Not only Air India is killed or murdered, but also so many other Public Sector Undertakings are in a precarious condition.Apart from Central Govt undertakings ,most of the State Government Sectors has gone to the grave yard. All due to the mismanagement and corruption in all levels.Uneducated, lazy, criminals are made as MD,Chairman to manage bigger Corporations like Transport,Dairy and Sugar Mills etc.,Senior IAS officials has to work under these Criminals with a maximum stress. How these Public Sector undertakings can survive.
Just name the crook who ran down AI so that routes could be 'sold' to mid-east airlines. Prafoool Patel and his criminal mafias of NCP. His property should be seized to pay the people who have had to suffer extra landing charges at Delhi and Mumbai when travelling to Ahmedabad.
