Sleeper classes at night looks like train coming out of INDO Pakistan Partition loaded with lying dead bodies.People travel in theses trains in insane way. Evn general compartnets are not enough. Most of the reservations goes to the reserved categories of railways and defence personnel.

SMS alert 139 doesnot work at right times.

Long expected VARANASI-CHENNAI/BANGALORE train.
by KASHINATH SHASTRI on Feb 26, 2013 03:37 PM

VARANASI is an international centre where about 1 lac people come and go every day. There was a train known as Ganga-Kaveri Express, starting from Varanasi, which was later on extended upto Chhapra (Bihar) by Lalu Yadav. That train also comes to Varanasi at 1.20 AM in the night for which hundreds of passengers wait on the platform wholenight. Further, there is no direct train to Bangalore from Varanasi. Therefore, there was a need to introduce a direct train from Varanasi to Chennai or Bangalore which was expected. But, the present Rail Budget does not include such a train but a new train again from Patna to Bangalore has been introduced where two trains (Sanghamitra and Bagmati Exp.) are running daily to Bangalore. Very Disappointing.
