When the politicians can get away with murder what is surprising.Only remember the bus operators are bribing thousands of crores to politicians all over the country. As long as you can fool public and loot nation - loot india loot.

actually they don't want IT professionals to switch jobs and move easily from Pune to bangalore or vice-versa.
There are 5 trains to Bangalore from Hyderabad and vice versa. But you do not get booking regular ticket unless you plan well ahead of one month. Tatkal is the only way out. One in 3 tickets are sold tatkal. It looks like Govt instead of increasing the regular fare wants regular travellers to buy expensive tatkal tickets. Railways is proud that they are not increasing the expenses on common tickets. But the fact is common man can afford more, but all they need is better travel experience i.e. smoother ride, better water/food, clean bathrooms, even if it were at the expense of paying little bit more. Railway minister, are we asking for more?
why always long distance train reach destination very late daily like Delhi-Chennai,Kerla, Banglore,Hyderabad. ather I will suggest it should before time and ofcourse quality of food should be on top priority. Speed also should be increased for long distance trains.
Goa is not only a tourist destination, but has one of the best natural harbour in Murmugao. Therefore, Goa should have more express as well as passenger trains. Goa was liberated by the Indian military forces in December 1961 and hence had lost the benefits of the five year plans and other developmental activities.
Not sure who looks after this department, but quality & quantity of food highly questionable. Rail should set some standard for food again. What about mineral water, "Rail Neer", why it is so expensive. In these days it cost rs.15.00. Not sure its production cost, but surely not more than Rs.7.00 per bottle, and it would be good, the the price set Rs.10.00.
Govt can keep on laying new tracks get license money from private operators and regulate these private players. If we do not trust local companies, MNC's can be invited.
Come on yaar.. we should no worry loosing few jobs. Making comfortable and affordable travel for billion plus people should be our priority.

The private model is not fully successfull in India due to poverty and lack of monitoring. For capitalism to work efficiently we need strong law enforcement else the private sector will take you for a ride further driving poverty and corruption. The solution is to have govt create semi-autonomous govt controlled, stake holder driven business in the lines of some of the successfull public sector coms such as BHEL, HAL, etc.
Tuticorin, one of the major port of Southern India, is not well connected with other parts of India. Only 3 Express trains from Tuticorin. Tuticorin - Chennai Egmore, Tuticorin - Mysore and Tuticorin - Coimbatore Link Express trains are running currently from Tuticorin. Why this discrimination to Tuticorin?
and will all of these trains even be implemented? so many past trains have not seen light of day.. and where will they run these new trains.. on those already 200% crowded rail tracks already avg spd of train is 40-50kmph
Why every minister forgetting the connectivity of State capital of Uttarakhand (Dehradun) with southern states. There is only one weekly train between Dehradun to Chennai. When Dehradun get better connectivity with Bhopal/ Bangalore/ Hyderabad / Vishakhapattanam?/ Kerala/ Pune and other measure cities of India?
