Coop sector excellent
by Ujwala Kulkarni on Sep 09, 2012 01:38 PM

except that corruption sets in because of interference by politicians. Whoever thought of cooperative sector overseen by an administrator deserves KUDOs. The experiment should have been repeated elsewhere too!

A TRUE Indian legend
by sudip majumder on Sep 09, 2012 01:36 PM

Lets see how the idiotic media covers this. Just some days back, India lost another legend Dr Laxmi Saigal - And the moron Media even just had one column. I was reading the other day "Forgotten Army " by Peter Fay (A professor at Cal Tech). It was NY best Seller and the book is about his interaction with Dr Saigal as a visiting professor of IIT K. I do remember with passion the case study we did at XLRI on Amul & Dr Kurien's contribution. Not sure whether this sort of nationalistic case study is even taught at the B school. Not sure whether the kids of the country ever heard the names of Dr Kurien Dr Saigal. It is just a pity that the truest stalwart of our country is simply forgotten from the text books as well as the minds of the kids!
