Why this Government is spending money that too a huge sum at J&K which is always terrorists prone area.We are unable to digest that just to reduce the distance from 35 kms to 9 kms,such a huge sum is spent which is a waste to our hard earned tax money.If the terrorist at one fine morning,bomb this,what will happen?Because India is always a haven for terrorists.
Bloggers in below posts are crying for waste of money. Pls be aware of facts first 1) Not only it couts distance to 1/4 but also provide stratgical link up of diffrent part of J&K 2) During winters the bigger path is Snowed out,,so tunnel will make it posible to maintain essential contact/supplies Only regret its bit late

he i right cosidering kashmir development this much investment not required with 800 crores we can make superpast 6 lines for thesame 35 km length. if same thing happened in pune and mumbai or connecting any two big cities means its OK, see this how it happens all hard worked south indian tax money goes this kind of national waste projects and the remaining money was looted other peoples blood sucking groups thru sensex with out doing any hard work

Forget about making tunnel by indians or new invention. We are far behind. What I saw is we even can not make good pichkari, good diwali light, we all are enjoying these things due to chinese technologies. When we can not think about how we can change our pichkari and diwali light then how you expect that we could build tunnel and other engineering. We can only do copy and paste like things.
Absolute waste of money, Politician are always in search where he get bribe, we are far far behind country like Uzbekistan and many, they people are much much honest then us.
