Google "India state wise power generation&qu
by NashikMarathi on May 13, 2011 09:51 PM  | Hide replies

... link which has numbers from Indian ministry of Power.

Maharashtra is OF COURSE number 1 in power generation.

Maharashtra 22.6 Gigawatts
Guj 15.7
TN 15.5
Andhra 15.0
Karnataka 11.5

We also have
UP 9.6
Bihar Jharkhand 1.97 2.15 = 4.12

So with more people than Maharashtra UP has about 40% the power generation.

So with more people than Maharashtra Bihar has about 20% the power generation.

All this is the fault of Maharashtra, marathi people and/or Raj Thackeray, corrupt Maharashtra pols etc etc etc. That is why the right to migrate is important.

Jharkhand and Orissa are not giving coal free of charge to Maharashtra. If they stop, Maharashtra can import it from other countries.

Take a hike.... we have coal enough in Maharashtra eastern part - esp Chandrapur district. Mumbai high produces about half of the nations domestic oil as well... Maharashtra has plenty of fuel.
