If a company employs 1,50,000 then each and every nut increase brings about a lot burden. TCS is not the best paymaster but it compensates it by sending biggest buch of people to onsite.

You guys get how much ever money, you will not be satisfied. 80% of the Software guys are code coolies with very low Intelligence and communication skills. They are already paid much higher than their capabilities when compared to manufacturing firms.
Guys..i think delhi is the best...unlike its cricket" Daredevils" thiscity has everything...Metro has made travelling easy and comfortable.The Swanky roads and the greeneries surrounding it are an added attraction...
now i am in chennai. initially thought chennai is very cheap for the accomodation and food but the dosa is for rs 29/- and the chai is for rs.15/- single bed flat in adyar is for rs.22000/- and the 2 bed for 28000/- auto rickshaw rate and the drivers attitude .....misrable. then why to have business in chennai rather than IT companies should put more companies near mumbai like panvel, alibag,lonavala very cheap and nice and also typical tamil hatered is not there.

I am Tamil but I agree with you absolutely. Have lived there and know its people are very friendly and helpful. Best place for business. Unlike Gujjus, Maharashtrians are not cunning.

Adayar is for global CEOs like Indra Nyogi who bought a house near Boat Club for Rs. 16 crore. Only the super rich live there. You should have tried at KK Nagar or even at Anna Nagar though it's equally posh area.

Chennai is a city where you can live with 10K or 1Lacs per month.In adyar 1BHK flat rent cost around 10K only, I stayed in adyar for close to 2 years and why you want to stay in Adyar man, you can come to Outer areas of Chennai where you can get rooms or flats for 5-6K per month. The areas u can refer to is Medawakkam / Tambaram / Kattan kulathur / perungulathur / Siruseri which are all easily accessable to the IT HUB OMR. I know people in Mumbai or Delhi travel for more than 2hrs a day to reach office, Why dont you travel atleast 1 hr per day ? Why you want to go for the heart of the city ? Buses are there in large extent to reach anywhere in Chennai and you can find the bus routes in English. You can see lot of busses going to OMR [the IT HUB] for every 5 minutes. If you want to work in Chennai , learn Tamil. If you talk in tamil, you can understand whats happening around you. RRV, please talk with sense. Have you ever gone to Techopark in Kerala ,1 hr travel from Trivandrum ? A Village thats so costlier than Trivandrum. In chennai you can get a Chai for 7-8 Rs. Stay in Velachery which is easier to reach office,where you can get a 2BHK flat for rent for Rs.15K. People may be there everywhere to cheat you,You must be aware of. :D, learn Tamil because you work in Tamilnadu for two years; what an idea sirji! I know many tamilians who haven't learned other languages while working in AP, Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharshtra. When Tamilians can speak in English in US/UK/Australia; why they don't learn other languages as you are suggesting? are you suggesting Tamilians are oblivious to surroundings when they are in other states or countries? PLease enlighten us ignorant souls.

OMR , Mahindra city are the IT Corridors. If you stay in outer chennai like Siruseri, tambaram east, you can easily reach office in 40-50 minutes. Chai might be costly in 1 or 2 hotels. you can get chai for 6-7Rs too.If you want to be cheated in Chennai,it happens everwhere. dont tell all tamilans are rakshasaas.You people from out of Tamilnadu loots job opportunities of tamil peoples and comment on us .go to south Tamilnadu you will get great tamil hearted people.Learn tamil and then get in here. You will learn whether you are cheated. If you are in Bangalore, you should know Hindi / Kannada . If you are in Hyderabad, you should know hindi / telugu. dear kannan, if this is your thinking please dont try for onsite or else your us/uk/aus clients will do the same thing with you. I have seen peoples from tamil nadu working in many north indian states, blore, hyd. will you feed all those tamilians who are working outside tamil nadu? yes, the flow of peoples in chennai is more compared to other cities just because it is reached the saturation, it not as developed as blore or hyd or ncr region. i lived in chennai for 2 years and thing i found is extream humidity and very less metropolican culture. no comment that chennai is like that and one should not say it's their fault. one thing no one can dissagree is, chennaities are more local than national. the attitude of most the guys in chennai is rude, mostly the un educated guys. the anti hindi beleive od tamilians. once my cab driver in chennai spoke to me in hindi and i was surprised, i asked where are you from n he said hes from chennai but hes a muslim hence he can understand and speak hindi too. he complained that the tamil politics never supported hindi in this state for poors hence they can't go outside chennai since they know only tamil. rich peoples can afford the central board schools but not the poor one. sooner or later the chennai culture will bcome more metropolitan.
