Give the benefit of doubt to Rediff. Rediff standard definition for "AMAZING" bridge is different from how you and I like to define it. Anyway, everyone has different perceptive when one say Amazing!!

Don't blame the author. Congress did not give enough money to cover length and breadth of india. Even I know so many bridges that are amazing for me. but are not covered here.

Why they have not given names to other Bridge?
by Aam Aadmi on Jun 23, 2011 02:12 PM  | Hide replies

Why they have not named the other bridges after Sonia Gandhi, Her mother, her father,Rahul Gandhi, his girl friend, Priyanka Gandhi, her husband, her little child, her in laws etc. Only these people have built the country, all the other Indian leaders are useless and did nothing to this country.

well I, too, hv crossed it several times...name it after me! y not? it is like changing name of 'dadar' stn [mumbai] to chaityabhoomi - name the political leader's hometown as 'Daitya Bhoomi'.

Well, you don't carry the surname required for that. First change your name and put forth your claim then.

I totally agree with you ! In fact, DigVijay should start a protest by now for renaming all bridges to the name of a family member from Gandhi Dynasty.

What a stupid article. Are you running out of ideas? Showing a bunch of mostly old n normal bridges n calling them amazing? Why don't you ask the readers for ideas if you ran out of them, Rediff? :-)

They will not use reader's idea. They want to show that Sonia Jee's congress is doing well for India.

In fact, the articles can be :

1) Why it takes so long time to construct a bridge in India ?

2) Why we have wooden bridges even after 64 years of independence ?

etc,etc...

We need to get rid of all wooden and bamboo bridges that exist in the country even after 64 years of independence. These are major causes of accidents.

Further the construction of a rive bridge takes 10-20 years in India. It seems government is showing some sympathy to the local people by building the bridge.Prolonged delays due to bureacratic red-tapism ,nepotism and looting are behind these delays.

A river bridge should be completed within 5 years.

For instance, the proposal for 4.3 km long rail-cum-road Bogi Beel bridge was signed by Rajiv Gandhi in 1985 in the Assam accord. And now 26 years, only 4-5 pillars are completed. It is heard that the bridge can be completed by 2015.That is total 30 years.

This bridge will be helpful for transporting people and material from Northern Assam and Arunachal. From defence point of view also, this bridge is important.

But incompetent congress is laying egg on it and paid media just want to show some bridges like Coronation or Howrah bridge which were built by the british ! Our bridges are mostly ordinary ,even worli-bandra sea link is 1/10 th of sea links in South Korea and China. We need to work hard to develop the nation.

Yes, Mr. Pavas Agarwal, please be decent. If the congress don't have money, they should tell the public that there is no money in the exchequer and should not form the government. They have gone there to work, not to enjoy and give excuses.

Mr.Agarwal,be decent and I have seen your messages for several times. What is this Jharkhand word, you keep on uttering ?

There is enough money in the country.More so in the form of black money and in swiss accounts.

If there is a will, there is a way.

I hope you are an educated guy.
