This is not the GOLDEN bridge, probably this is not even the NM8 bridge connecting Ankleshwar & Bharuch. Golden bridge is a pair of bridge one used by railways, and the other being road bridge, a part of old NM8. Please correct.
The Beijing-Shanghai high-speed(bullet)railway will open to traffic on July 1.

why between Delhi and Kolkata? any particular reason?
Kolkata is not the kind of city which needs a high speed rail connection to any other important city of India.
any such high speed line should be between Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. Thats where all the action is, thats where big business is taking place. We don't want railways workers strike on bullet trains heading to Kolkata, delaying the journey by 18-20 hours. why would you need a bulklet train then?!

Kolkata is the main centre of the East and the North East.Right now,Siliguri,Guwahati,Itanagar,Kohima,Shillong,Imphal, all these cities are dependent on Kolkata.Even,Bhubneshwar,Bokaro,Jamshedpur,Durgapur,Kharagpur,Rourkela are having business dependence on Kolkata.
So,it is a very important city of the east and for the north east.
