And China will certainly get the better of the Indian auto industry in the Indian market too !

Are you aware that the CPM has been demanding a steep increase in the excise duty on diesel driven luxury cars for nearly two decades ??
The rich in India have long been using heavily subsidised diesel to run their luxury cars !
While fuss is being made about entry of chinese cars in India you will be surprised to know that almost all cars manufactured in India have chinese parts used in manufacture. The aftermarket is flooded with Chinese parts. All car manufacturers or their spare parts suppliers import parts from china. Cars like Nano have a huge percentage of china mde parts. Faltu American vehiles that age run on the road in India only because of spare parts manufactured in China and Taiwan. The spare parts sold byby these faltu american car manufacturers price their spare parts exorbitantly and not available with the car dealers. It is only because of spare parts manufactured in china that these cars are able to move on the road. One can have all types of spare parts from china good or bad depending on the price you pay same as in India or europe or japan

we followed this policy till 1990 and used to get load of rubbish in terms of products and customer service.

More than the auto industry, it is the much hyped Indian IT industry that should really fear the Chinese !
China is well and truly set on its way to usurp the title of the world's largest IT services provider from India !

I ENTIRELY AGREE WITH YOU. WE SHOULD ALL BOYCOTT CHINESE CARS. WE SHOULD ALSO BOYCOTT ALL CHINESE GOODS WHICH FLOOD THE MARKET. ONLY NONPATRIOTIC PEOPLE WOULD PURCHASE CHINESE GOODS.

China exports 1.25 trillion worth of goods, if India stops buying its goods, then only 25 billion gets knocked off, the whole of west and east asia is there to make it up

Heard that China is advancing in utilising solar energy. If it can an electric car of the size of Maruti 800, AStar, or Alto or a bigger car than the REVA car Indian consumers go for that with a big bang. It may also consider introducing cars run on solar energy then there will be huge revolution in the Motor car market.

90% goods available in the US are China made.70-80% goods available in Europe are China made.
Problem is our traders,what wants a bargain or cheap price in each consignment.
