then ask reliance, birla, etc. to compete with walmart, tesco and carryfour if u believe they can compete on equal terms. it is about time that the protecion to Indian companies is slowly removed. There needs to be quid pro quo if these Indian companies want to access the global markets...

4 out of 7 are Sindhi's. No one can beat Sindhi's in business in foreign countries. They have well contributed to Indian economy and still don't ask any separate state from Indian Govt. Proud to be Sindhi

Completely agree. Although they suffered a lot during partition and unfairly lost their homeland, they have flourished due to their hardwork and enterprise. They deserve a state of their own to preserve the language and culture.

Hi Deepak,

I think you guys dont need one also, the way you guys have adapted to the situation and the aftermath of partition where you lost all your wealth, but inspite of that the way you have made a comeback shows at length your perseverance and industry. Anyway dont worry, wars with paksitan have not stopped next time we make sure that we capture enough of tharparkar and sukkur to give you homeland.

cheers

Even after so many years in India you are not proud to be Indian then it is time you went back. if you had a seperate state you would not be so successful, as every sindh would try to squeeze another sindhi dry. keeping you all paupers, so be careful what you wish for.

by ashok kumar on Dec 06, 2011 11:17 AM  | Hide replies

Amazing to know so many Indians doing roaring business abroad!!! This shows that under right conditions Indians do well!!! Business will flourish in India if we have the following--
1) Good Infrastructure
2) Less & less of license/permit/quota
3) More privatization
4) Subsidies only to the deserving

Interesting news about INDIAN enterprises
by Kashyap Ray on Dec 06, 2011 11:00 AM  | Hide replies

Thanks for this news. Why have they not set up or announced setting up shop in India ????

These people have left India never to return...

They are region based & not multi-continent based like multi-nationals

They have not invested in India because they know very well that India is not a place to do business unlike developed countries. Bureaucracy, red tapism and employee unions will dent their business if they invest in India. The EMKE group running the Lulu Hypermarkets and department stores is building the largest shopping mall in India at Kochi, Kerala.
