since when did india receive more FDI than china?

and like most indian don't want to compare themself to pakistan which have the same gdp per cap. I don't think indian should even compare themself to china which have 4 time larger gdp per cap.

How near is China to US
by Prasad on Apr 29, 2011 02:03 PM  | Hide replies

With a per capita GDP about 8 time more than China, it is laughable that the stupid correspondent says China is fast catching up with the US.

Even with 10% growth rate, China will take another 25 years to surpass US

If you considering US dollar devaluation comparing with Chinese Yuan, China's normal GDP will catch up that of USA in no more than 15 years from now.

Your argument is laughable!

Whether an economy is bigger and more important than another economy has *NOTHING* to do with per capita GDP.

If we were to agree with you, then according to the CIA World Factbook, Qatar's GDP per capita is US$150,400 while the US is only US$47,100. And people like you boast that the US is a superpower!

Just grow up and look at the real world!

This is diverting educated class from real Indian problem
by Parichay on Apr 29, 2011 11:33 AM  | Hide replies

now we have 3% more unemployment than 1993.

There is something seriously wrong in our economical mathematics. Gujrat is among the worst 5 state in term of hunger index. So many other facts too indicated GDP is not measure of actual misery or replenishment of the common people.

GDP only shows how are corporates are growing.

70 % of India earn less than a 50 rupees per day. 52% of India having agriculture as their profession and we internet bloggers are not at all connected with them.

27 % earn less than 25 rupees a day.

22% of the population hold 78% of the wealth.
