Excellent example how outsiders come to Mumbai and make it big. He clearly agrees that he had an 'illegal' cart food business (which municipality frequently stopped). He further goes to say their was bias against TN people (but does not mention bias by Shetty's and not locals as majority hotels belong to them). He did not know local language but still survived (how many stories like this can be found if a Marathi/Hindi speaking jobless/homeless ends up in TN ??)
This is a classic example how people come to Mumbai, do all kinds of illegal stuff and make it big. Locals do not bias and create hurdles in their path to success. But when they succed they join the anti-local gang via political and media channels.
Atleast now people will accept Mumbai has ever been a welcoming city and so its locals. All the north-Indian (bhayya) hulla-bu is nonsense and it is they who are of nusense value.

Vinay & Shipla, correct!! Mumbai does not belong to my family.
You are accepting that outsiders have biggest stake in illegal businesses and slum creation in Mumbai. Because your posts do not address these points raised in mine.
Also you do not have any counter argument to the fact that locals have been welcoming and helpful which has helped the businesses to flourish.
This is to greet Mr.Ganpathy on his acheivements. Hats off to you. My best wishes to you and expect/wish you to grow as the biggest food chain in India.
Thank you rediff for publishing this article. Every few days you should publish such kind of inspiring articles instead of publishing negative and demoralising articles. Most of your audience is youth and you have great power to influence their mind by the way you want. Great going.
For Indian youth Raj singh an inventor and Ganapathy dosa are real icons, forget the pseudo icons promoted by dynastic rule like Rajiv and chaddis. Both these icons are not brahmins

his real life story should be a lesson to uneducated or even educated, lazy, unemployed youth of india..those who tries to bring regional hatred here are bound to reach their dead end of their career soon..
