hi stupid, that is not north indian rupee symbol. it is 'R' designed by one tamilian who studied in Mumbai. So south indians should be proud of that.

Here it is: Rs.

LOL, why did they go through the hype of the new 'north indian' rupee symbol, when like every other hype, things are back to square one.

Forget about the rest of the world adopting this stupid symbol, even Indian media has dropped that symbol after a few days. Every body is on to the next hype...LOL.

Kudos to Mumbai!!!
by mallaiah anchoori on Sep 19, 2010 11:01 PM  | Hide replies

Mumbai is such a mystic city of greatness that it could transform one's live if he/she is willing to to show its mettle & work sincerely;it does not discriminate on the reasons of sex, region, religion caste or creed. What it recognises is the worth & value of the person offering his talent for full exploitation. This is the place which gave birth to the maximum number of millionaires almost in all fields in the country ,who, by dint of their hard work & sincerity reached new heights of progress & prosperity in their lives.A vagabond even with a little bit of his merit,if thrown in Mumbai ,emerges like a workaholic & becomes useful to his family, society & country at large-much however, depends upon the instinct to impose self discipline which,of course,is a must for any field. There is no dearth of opportunities for earning right from for a pauper to billionaire. It is a citadel for the hard working;its unique life style though levels all,yet ennobles several willing to show their inherent & hidden talents.A great city like New York agog with buzzing activity almost all through the 24 hours of the day,it straightens every one entering it for a long term stay with the intention of eking out a livelihood & teaches several important aspects-say like, excellent commutation facilities(suburban trains),good work culture, punctuality, space management,co-living,law enforcement, business ethics

WHAT HAS HE DONE FOR MUMBAI
by noel dias on Sep 19, 2010 05:58 PM  | Hide replies

Mr Ganpathi has gone back to his village (where he was born penniless) and done so much for that place that gave him NOTHING.
What has he done for Mumbai where he got EVERYTHING???
This has something to do with his sense of GRATITUDE.

The very fact that he working in Mumbai is that he is giving everything for Mumbai. Giving something to his birthplace is only a part of what he has worked to earn.
why do you have NRI meet Pravasi Diwas etc if you are so concerned about doing something for Mumbai. Broaden you vision.

Prem Ganapathy's Success Story
by Vetaikurumugankao Ramanathan on Sep 19, 2010 05:52 PM

Prem Ganapathy's success story is greatly inspiring. "Find a need and fill it up" is the basic instruction, which. like other great men in history, Ganapathy followed, with grit, determination and focus. Anybody who follows this advice, (find a need nd fill it up), is bound to succeed, not only now, but in the future as well. Wish Ganapthy all the best, and I hve no doubt he will scale greater heights in the coming years. V.K.Ramanathan, Thane West.

If Delhi had sea ports around
by S V on Sep 19, 2010 12:39 PM  | Hide replies

If Delhi had sea for shipping, Mumbai would have lagged behind in every aspect. Delhi has such conducive environment and entrepreneurial nature that it can lead the entire world, not just India.

If i could, i would switch the two cities geographically.

If u say Delhi people are corrupt. Corrupt people are everywhere, even in US.

vimal, ashish.. Have you been to Delhi before? Just stop thinking bullshit.. yes it is not appropriate to compare Delhi from any other city here, every city has its own potential. But Delhi is really going to be as a big boom in the world soon... Delhi rocks >>
