Poor by lazyness
by Indian bhai on Sep 12, 2010 01:16 PM

If you give free foodgrains for poor, I will make them more poor and lazy. Infact they are poor, because they are lazy.
Train them properly, shape them to work. Make mega Labour orientated Indsutrial Parks all over india and employee them. Free food grains only for disabled, who can not work. Not for the people who don't want to work.

Why the poor in .....................................

Like how Nero was fiddling while Rome was burning, our biggest rogue is off to foreign land to study how to decontrol sugar so that his 'sakar-karkhana' lobby can pocket an additional another 10,000 crores as loot.

Why ? ........ Because
by Manish Shukla on Sep 12, 2010 01:11 PM  | Hide replies

Free food grains to poor because they are not RICH compared to Ministers. Why discussing such point ? Discuss on managing properly the food grains and prevent properly, stop export and unnecessary import of the same grains at higher price. If such ministers are not able to that, they must be removed permanently from Party and all type of politics. Simple solution is this, then see how the work is done. All are responsible - Sharad Pawar, MMS (economist) & Sonia Gandhi. Why they need SC directives ? Why can't they work properly for the country and citizens ? Remove them - only solution.

its known to all that Sharad Pawar has many sugar mills, which must be seized by Govt. No such person should be minister of respective field. Our constitution should be changed and make strict rule for election, ministership, and their result oriented working. Congress knows @ all sugar mills, then why still the show is going on ? Why not actions being taken against Sharad Pawar ?

give grains for work
by ahmad x on Sep 12, 2010 01:07 PM  | Hide replies

If Govt is unable to store surplus grain it should be simply distributed to people for their work in place of money(salary)Any1 working in govt sector should be able to get grains at cheaper rate in exchange of their work.

PM has not felt HUNGER

Our PM is an economist. He goes only by data on paper. He surely must have not felt the HUNGER. Otherwise he would have surely suggested to end HUNGER & distributed the Foodgrains FREE OF COST & not let the foodgrains be allowed to Rott in open spaces.

PM seems to be so called ECONOMIST. Present politicians are hopeless. These ministers have not felt poverty. Each ministers must live with poor people 3 days/month as others are living. No mobile, No car, No TV & food what poors are eating.

Sugar Mafia
by Paramjit Singh on Sep 12, 2010 01:02 PM  | Hide replies

Every educated person of India knows, our Agriculture Minister is a chairman and secrately owner of many Sugar mills in Maharashtra. Decontroling of sugar means the rates will be nearly 50per KG and the Sugar millers will get 80% of enhanced amount. Sugar cane growers will get a meagre amount.

So Dr. PM must understand his advice and work on divising a formulla for our country of 125crore population. Those who equate with those developing/developed countries must work on the per capita income of those below poverty line. In this way the Sugar Mafia Minister has already done a lot and proces reached more than Rs. 40per KG and when the Govt. awaked, the prices came to Rs. 8-10 more than the prices, Mafia Minister started the race. Mafia man knows that prices will never come back and the benefit will come automatically. People become used to after a small hue and cry.

Congress must realise his game and must take action before he act.

if Congress has guts, the sugar mills where ever Sharad Pawar is involved must be taken charge by Govt. Why Congress has made him minister ? Just remove & don't take support of such cheater & looter person. Put him behind the bars. What is fun with such price rise where PM is an economist ?

They create artificial famine by buying the food grain not allowing its circulation, raising the prices, so they can make extra profit.
They should be beaten and put to jail a gang of thieves.

One needs to earn
by Kris Iyer on Sep 12, 2010 12:55 PM  | Hide replies

Poverty annihilation is not the task of a government, a government can only provide a conducive atmosphere to learn, earn, eat, drink and be merry. Its up to the people to put their heart into work.
Free stuff will spoil a nation's integrity, will make everyone lazy, cheap, and stupid.
Be it any government they are not bothered about farmers or farmlands, they are too eager to build car factories and software bugs and only politicians are capable of eating hardware and software, not us common folks.

Poverty creation is should also not be the agenda of a democratic goverment knowingly or unknowingly. See the post liberalisation era statistics of the GOI itself to know how much has become poorer etc. Judiciary is involving at times, but the problem is that it has limits. Basic thought that people are poor because they dont work is ugly and wrong.

The idea to distribute grains into poors is faar far better. It is interseting and equally strane why politicians are not accepting this popular demand and letting grains to spoiled and sold to merchants of daru mafia on very cheap rates?

Free food to poor
by Paramjit Singh on Sep 12, 2010 12:48 PM

I dont favour free food to poor, with this most of them will become habitual, i dont use the word begger but lazy for those. One time measure to distribute surplus grains to poor at a very nominal cost of transportation the Govt. doing, it is better to distribute than becoming rotten.
