Agree. Showering praises on Pitroda is not right. Especially today, any IT savvy engineer could do what Sam did. High time we wake up and out of our conventional beliefs.
can Sam pitroda or IT industries bring out ways and means to bring down corruption drastically by linking different bank accounts of an individual/companies/firms dealing in black money and corruption. It seems govt. hs no will to bring down corruption which is rotting the nation.
I wonder why Sam chose not to build this technology in India - after all CDOT had done everything in India. The kind of talent available today in India is much better than when he started in 90's. Was he disappointed with the way CDOT withered away after his illustrious tenure? It is sad to see NRI's giving up on India (as a technology developer) - look at the way people of Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese and Korean origin have built their countries! Is it our society and work-culture that is the problem or is it the NRI's who are to be blamed? Today the only thing the world is gung-ho about (9% growth etc) is India as a market and not as a producer! Will this ever change?

Govt regiment in India sucks every Dept in India and these only serves their political masters and personal ambitions and does not have character, culture or authority to work for NATION...even a miniscule Private Company work with better work-ethics in India than any dam Govt. dept.

our govt and govt officials are like that. I heard sometime back that one NRI has plans of setting up a ashram/home for poor cancer patients and treating them there. When he went for approval govt authorities asked for bribe. our govt authorities did not give approval as he did not pay bribe. such a worst people and corruption we have in our govt.
He is a man of visions and we are fortunate to have people like him around us notwithstanding the fact that the power-that-be like former telecom minister Unnikrishnan who did not like the erudite Sam who behaved very informally and was reprimanded by the former will try to bring hurdles in the path of such efficient persons who have only the welfare of the state in their mind. It fortunate that Rajiv Gandhi saw his talent and used the same!Long live Sam!

unnikrishnans are dead and gone but technological excellence will sure to continue
He says that' Now, it is being launched all over the world, including China..' Also it says this idea is in his mind since 1994. So the doubt is 1. whether the countries including china done it based on his idea? 2. is the so called book is a blue print of his realisation of idea or a commentary on what is realising in the above mentioned countries?
