Coal India IPO
by varadarajulu a on Oct 19, 2010 06:16 AM  | Hide replies

It is unfortunate that in India, the stock prices are not indices of the performance of the companies. For instance, the stocks of a cement company floated by the son of ex chief minister of Andhra Pradesh are quoted at more than Rs.300/- even though not a single bag of cement is produced even after 3 years of going to public.Unfortunately, the innocent small investor is the scapegoat and the Bada Babus become Billionaries.

Man Don't worry this is where most Corrupt Crooks and Money Rich Stupids do the business. If you are gentleman and commonman forget all this hype and painful propoganda reinforcing belief in the mind of people that world exist here on IPO and ends here with IPO.

Just enjoy myth and Mistries of life...

Hey Louis,

I do not understand what is the confusion here.

1 billion = 1000 million
1 million = 10 L
1000 million = 10* 1000 L = 100 * 100 L = 100 C

Therefore 1 billion = 100 C

15000 C is simply 150 billion.

Rediff is right here

CIL may also turn out to be like NHPC SJVNL and Co.
by Joseph Purathur on Oct 18, 2010 05:27 PM

People have not forgotten the hype created by NHPC and SJVNL that they were all 'fairly priced', etc., and even when the market is close to all time high, those shares are still at a discount! History may repeat in CIL as well!!

Who has remained its Ministers so far. It is a loaf of bread for which number of cats used to fight at the time of its allotment. How we can expect out of it Navratna or Maha ratna. Appoint some CEO of full integrity, appoint private reputed Directors, see the resuls.
