Looking from your comments, it appears you have not travelled outside of Gujerat,go to Bangalore,Chennai,Gurgaon,Hyderabad,Delhi,Noida, & Chandigarh, your Ahmedabad is puny in front of these Indian cities. All these have already attained a super growth rate, now Ahmedabad has started. Since I have seen all these cities, I am commenting on first hand basis. Nothing unusual from you "I have never heard of Chengdu". Chengdu & Chongqing are the world's fastest growing cities as per World Bank statistics. The 2009 GDP & GDP growth rate of Chongqing,Chengdu,& Ahmedabad are $95.5 billion/14.9%;$65.95 billion/14.3%;$59 billion/11.5%, respectively. hope this will clear your ignorance.

Jugal Ahuja

It is very clear that your knowledge about ahmedabad / Gujarat is pathetic and you just seem to be living in a dream world.

First of all , Noida and Gurgaon are just extensions of Delhi ...on their own they are small little towns...!!

Chandigarh has never ever been amongst the fastest growing cities...so I wonder where you get the idea of comparing that with Ahmedabad...

Chandigarh is a tiny city in comparison to Ahmedabad...

I can assume you must not be knowing that Ahmedabad and Surat were the top 3 fastest growing cities of India last year...Bangalore was second ...So I would suggest you brush up on your crappy knowledge...!!

Delhi , Hyderabad and Chandigarh have never been the fastest growing cities for the past 2 years...!!

DONT LIE THAT you have seen all these cities else you wouldnt be talking BULL S H I T HERE...!!

Ahmedabad is a puny ???? Look at your dreams ...hahaha...Its India's seventh largest metropolis...!!

Ahmedabad has amongst the best BRTS systems in the world , 24 X 7 power supply unlike delhi and bangalore...!!

Get your facts cleared first pea brain...The report has already put the growth of Ahmedabad ahead of banaglore and Chennai you moron...

Me never been outta Gujarat...hey moron...I have traveled more cities than what you have ever heard of scumbag...And its NOT just India...

I have seen what Delhi is like so lets not kid each other...ok...!!

Regarding Gujarat , its way way ahead of other states ...if you dont believe me I suggest you check out the ASSOCHAM report .

Its amongst the highest tax paying states of India you bozo...!!

Its the only state having 24 X 7 power supply to all cities , towns and most villages...

The best roads of the country are in Gujarat...

Gujarat accounts for the maximum investments in India...

Gujarat has been the fastest growing state of India for the past 5 years ...not only economically but even in agriculture at 9 % whereas all india avg is a meager 2.5 %...

It is India's most industrialized state .

Surat and Ahmedabad were the fastest growing cities of India last year...

And you come up with this baloney that Ahmedabad has JUST STARTED...get a life

And regarding my knowledge about things , I suggest you shouldnt take me for one dumb A S S kid on the block...

Without people's participation nothing can happen.

Few hundred lezy govt employee will never make city clean and beautiful. Keep dreaming. Only when educated people unite. make friend circle, group assication. we monitor building of road, footpath. we spend money and effort to maintain it. we pay taxes and enourage more business to grow since they pay more taxe. Then the tax money can be used regularly to maintain good city.
we cant just keep passing blame whole day and hope our city to be beautiful. its time we tighten our belt and get in action.
Any problem whether traffic, footpath, good park. only a people centered revolution can help india. Otherwise we will live in dirt and chaose for 100 years.

Diversification makes life comfortable
by Sam on Oct 16, 2010 01:32 AM  | Hide replies

Diversification in industrial development assets and investment makes Ahmedabad ahead of many nice looking skylines !! For example, Dubai is only interested in real estate, Chinese are only interested in exports. Ahmedabad and Gujarat invest proportionally in manufacturing, services, infrastructure (IT included) as well as consumption. Besides the business friendly environment, there is a focus on investement of savings rather than keeping them in bank. Everytime I visit Ahmedabad, I can not find my old streets, they are now so wide and different, I feel I am in a different country. And the pace is fast...I couldn't agree more with Forbes Assessment.

Oh yes...Ahmedabad is transforming drastically and I am proud to hear that the Ahmedabad BRTS ( Bus Rapid Transport System ) has been awarded as the best in S. Asia...!!!

Plus the Sabarmati Riverfront project is gonna take Ahmedabad to a new level altogether...Amazing project at such a massive scale...lets hope they finish it soon...!!

Dont forget Surat...that city is progressing at a very fast pace and was the fastest growing city of India last year...Its amongst the cleanest cities too...!!

It gets its leverage from the industrial hubs like Ankleshwar , Vapi , Bharuch , Hazira etc...!!

gujarat & TN
by khemaji Bheel on Oct 15, 2010 09:57 PM  | Hide replies

Healthy competition between States is good for development. Gujarat and TN are equally good States in terms of industrial & infrastructure development. Both States attract huge business and there are ample opportunities for outsiders to grow. There are still certain pockets in both States which need to be focussed. The bottom of pyramid needs more care and should get opportunities to grow.

I beg to differ here bro...

There is a difference between TN and Gujarat...Not that I am putting TN down or something...Its developing and has a large industrial presence BUT you CANNOT match the industrial and infrastructure with that of Gujarat...

Gujarat has been India's fastest growing state for the past 5 years...Not only economically but even in agricultural growth...way ahead of TN...

I dont like to brag but what I am stating are facts...

Gujarat has the best roads in the country...

Tell me which state in India can supply 24 X 7 power to all its cities and villages...??? I want all of India to do this...!!

The maximum industrial investments are in Gujarat dude...then comes Maharashtra ...I have no idea abt TN though...

Surat and Ahmedabad are India's fastest growing cities and unlike other states Gujarat is developed as a whole state...not just cities...!!

Dont worry abt the power sector in TN .. All the remedial measures are being taken.. and more than 3000 MW will be added to the grid.. it will be more than enough for the entire state with a combined all peak consumption of 12000 MW...

TN is the no 1 in Manufacturing exports abroad..
Has the one of the highest HDI (Human Devolpment Index) in India... actually it can be compared with some western countries if it is considered as a standalone country...
more than 89.9 % of TN rural parts re electrified..
every 20 kms in TN has a District headquarters with all the facilities..
comeon how can i miss tirupur-erode belt.. the true cotton / textile hub of the world.. so the vanhuesen/ peter england u re wearing has a name of TN in it..
nammakal-salem produces most of the poultry, animal husbandry, and also has the distinction of the most no of heavy vehicle manufacturing assemblies.. as a remainder most of the households in nammakal own a lorry with them..
TN\'s film industry is one of the finest in the world.. leave out india....
Tamil is one of the oldest language / civilizzation in the entire world with more than 70 million diaspora all around the world.. and is the national language of around 3 to 4 countries in the entire world...
chennai port is one of the highest revenue for the country both in terms of efficient fleet utilization..
and in IT we re just behind karnataka.. soon we will acheive NO 1 in IT also..
these re a gist of TN\'s economic poweress
will update u

whom are you trying to explain mr pyma, this moron jadeja lives in a state led by today's edition of adolf eichman(killer of millions of jews in world war II), & like goebbels(hitler's propoganda minister)publishes & propogates exaggerated accomplishments figures. it is the state where the human development index(HDI)is one of the lowest amongst indian states.it is a state where rich are getting richer, & the poorer are poorer & dying. malnutrition is prevalent very highly amongst the have nots.

Ankleshwar is the chemical capital of Asia...
