Do the survey people realise Indian truth?
by Grizzly on Nov 27, 2010 12:51 PM  | Hide replies

A lot of Indian companies report theft of goods to claim reduce taxes. So it is not a surprise that we are on the top of the list.

These survey people should take into account the ground realities before publishing bogus figures.

Manufactured statistics to malign India -first undress yourself!
by Nandkumar Kamat on Nov 27, 2010 12:39 PM  | Hide replies

After medical research was misinterpreted to show that "antibiotic resistant 'New delhi strain" was produced in India, the western research so envious of India's progress despite several internal problems and threat of terrorism-is aimed at maligning image of India and Indians. What ethics retail trade is practicing in India? List the countries marketing/dumping their substandard goods from Europe and USA. What about racial profiling of customers in branded retail stores in India?. When potatoes are bought by companies for Rs. 2-5 a kg from farmers why Indian consumers should pay Rs. 300 per kg for branded potato chips?. what is the margin of profit by MNC brands in India?. Where is the western research to show exploitation of Indian consumers by MNCs and international brands?. Would they publish the level of urban poverty, the shelterless people in USA and UK who sleep in cardboard boxes on footpaths? Or the level of violent crime, indiscriminate firing and killing of people or racial, hatred crimes?. Shoplifting is not a new phenomenon. But statistics can always be manufactured to support bias against a country. For every given shoplifter there are hundreds of honest customers in India. What they get in return is bad quality goods, bad after sales service and only bad words. It is a mockery of history that nations which mercilessly chopped the thumbs of Dakka's malamal weavers are preaching the sacred text of honesty to a country which Obama say

Not but public but by Staff and Management
by jaishankar on Nov 27, 2010 12:33 PM

I don't think shoplifting is by public or customers but by the staff and Management which shows for record to writeoff or use it as bribe to Government officials. I worked in Retains and how where it goes and how it is used.

Misuse of viel
by Deepak Gupta on Nov 27, 2010 12:27 PM  | Hide replies

There is a visible quantity of people being in viel or burkha in the malls. These may not be the muslims(but crooks disguising from other religions) but the management of malls fears of political reprehension and stops frisking them. The number is so much remarkably higher of women wearing burkha and stealing in malls that is surprising why anybody raised the voice.

Re: recall school days? Golden Rule of 80-20 ??
by R Balasubramanian on Nov 27, 2010 11:28 AM
definitely muslims do not account for 80% and the maximum share should go to Dalits followed by SCs, STs and minorities and last by big wigs. All these people are totally misguided by the media (cinema maximum) and journals and the last not brought up rightly by the parents. Crime is not in their blood but infused from the society. Society should play a major role in grooming the children and youngsters and directing them to the right path.
