We must have them to progress , these trains will connect differenet parts faster means faster growth then all the problems diminish one by one as people get richer and grow strong; atleast there is an idea now ,put in action one day what if there in no idea at all ,Highways too must be completed whole INDIA must be connected well which drives unity in INDIA
Not in the near future if India is ruled by the present democratic parties. Give India to chinese for ruling and they will introduce these trains all over Inida within 3-4 years and India will prosper and be a world power under chinese rule. No dirty politicians like Cngrss/NCP/Manse/SS Communists etc.

Please stop making fun of your country and its people on any single chance that u get. Its the easiest thing to do. If you are so unhappy with the leaders and the state of the country then either leave it and go somewhere else or start making contribution. Be the change that you want in this country. Simply bashing and saying bad things wont solve any purpose. It looks as if you people are frustrated individuals who have accepted defeat and now can do nothing but crib.Also with these foolish comments of yours please state what you do and how you are making a difference to the state of the country and are you doing anything to make it better

Old mails are not retained in rediffmail. There is a big flaw in rediff systems where old mails gets lost.
I am not a negative person. But high speed trains?!!! 1) we cannot even manufacture ordinary Locomotives , for which we depend on Siemens, Asea brown etc.( so much for the "self reliance" policy) 2) The contracting of another huge project to a foreign company will lead to another mega scam.3)the existing railway infrastructure has an accident a day killing many. in the case of high speed trains the collateral human damage by accidents will be incalculable. 4) we have not yet eliminated stray animals from roaming even megapolises like Mumbai! how are we to eliminate strays from high-speed tracks?? electric-iron fence barriers? on the flip side, why not? anyway we have proven to be talkers, argumentatives, followers, economic slaves and spine-less- lederless country, who cannot even punish the rouge stste pakistan for the 26/11, while shouting hoarse about solid evidence of the same etc. etc. let didi's ministry make scamoolah from this venture! serves us right!

Yes you are right. you, me and the common people can compete. But not the govt.I have lived in china (shanghai) for over a year, and have seem them closely. The chinese locals dont hate indians, but it is the govt. which does not like indians
