one thing some Indians are good is
by dad on Nov 21, 2010 02:47 PM  | Hide replies

china bashing. That's all. And nothing else. China really enjoy bashing by some indians and west. One thing is sure: China does NOT care about bashing simply because it is meaningless and fruitless. China has moved ahead, is the second largest economy in the world and likely to overcome USA very soon. This is the truth. One should face the truth, which is always bitter in taste and undigestible.

Chinese have a very rich history. They are very talented, innovative and quite capable of building a very competitive passenger aircraft and give Boeing and Airbus a run for their money! The copying/shoddy allegations were leveled at Toyota and Honda in the 1960!

China'sC-919Commercual liner out to dare AirBus&Boei
by D goel on Nov 21, 2010 02:32 PM

D. Goel Pkl. afternoon, 2.30pm, Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010.
While iam not blind to various bombaswtic overly claims of Chinese Mandarinates,it would be foolish if we do not take Lesson from their concerted Efforts to enter very Exclusive Commercial Jet Global Operators like Air-Bus or Boeing by their own huge liner as shown to markets the designer C-919.
We in India are mired by our lethargy after decades in every way and not in a position of frontally entering theexclusive domains of leaders in thefield. our Tejas demostrates our failure to design even to this day our own Kaveri Engine for it.We are importing GE Machines for engines forthisnational Combat Air-Craft. We flounder , delay and opt forimported Machines. This whole culture of effortless supineness has made us technological nitwits , work-shirkers , and who specialize in Pocketing Cuts from Foreign Sellers. A shame.D. Goel

one of the charecteristic of fuedalism is that the fuedal lords are satisfied with their higher status in the society in comparison to his serfs, his dependents, and the rest of the society. and they prefer status quo. they want lesser or no disturbance to their health, wealth and premier position as leaders.

democracy should change such attitude and perception. but it does not in India. one set of leaders are replaced with others in elections or continue to rule. just like the actors change but the script remains the same. why is it so?

becausthey get elected on the basis of the readily availble 'off the shelf support from their caste, community, ethnicity, linguistic affinity, etc," that provides the sustenance and strength to exist and succeed in politics.

all their dream, visualisation, objective, hunger for success pertains to his own self and or his supporters and not the nation.

the ever increasing urban slums, the malnutrition of the children, the slow growth of education without objective, lack of employment opportunities, the relative position of India in HDI does not affect him.

and I doubt whether, attempts of China a country that sailed in almost the same circumstances as India as recently as 1980s, to make large passenger aircraft C919 will make him think!

distributing dhoti, sarees, TV are passe. next will be free distribution imported Levis Jeans to all the citizens.

NDA and UPA will change shifts and the play c

If you want to live as a slave in China, who is preventing you ?

Stop crying about the state of affairs in India. If you are an Indian, do something about it. If not an Indian, you have no business here.

@namak....mulla
i disagree with your basic premise that china wants or maintains equitable distribution of wealth.Infact private ownership of land is possible in china.their politburo is now filled with members from various profesion including poets/philoshers or ingeneral thenintangible sciences a class hitherto feared and crucified by such governments.
The reason why things work for china is its political structure and not its political values.Such a structure was long advocated before by plato and for years pratciced in india and other countries but with values.
Also the labour conditions, labour lawas for local chinese companies are virtually non existent while those doing outsourced work maintain them because of pressure from parent overseas companies.Mind you its not because the overseas companies are ideal but beacuse of strong human right advocacy groups something which no citizen in china can dream of.

Chineese products in india is worse, because India let that garbage to come in due to No govt control over the quality. The chineese items in US is not like this & it is of of at par quality with any of the well established brand. The quality control policy makes all diff & India seems does not have any.My personal observation.

Though I myself don't subscribe to Chinese products, would like to mention here that not all chinese products are inferior in quality. They are much advanced partially due to the totalitarian regime they have.
