Do you understand the mental set up of many people - anything which is cheap is not quality .
Also those who come there are on OC (Others Cost)or foreigners who when converted to dollars will find not very costly.

Vanity in vain
by Alex Mathew on Nov 11, 2010 01:40 PM  | Hide replies

People are willing to Spend Rs.500000/- per day to stay one day in this place. But they do not want to give 500 to save a dying child.

How can ones conscience permit to splurge money like this?

Sadly this is the way the world is going. Charity is also done for poularity.

Most of the IT professionals are burning their a** out to earn whatever they get. Exceptions, if any, are temporary. You cant find any IT professional who has worked for 2 years without slogging. They work for private companies, mate. Not like the laid back public sector guys or the greedy govt servants who thrives on bribes. And in the private companies everyone are answerable. People like you think that their computer monitors are TV and IT professionals are watching TV in office!

the govt. itself and the various religious orgns. do have lot of funds to take care of poor and ill..but fact is they are incompetent and sit on their a** ! instead of helping needy they just spend on cr*p events.

if ppl have the money to spend..let them spend it. it will pay for salAry of many hotel workers who in turn will be able to buy more from market helping local economy.
what about these big spenders visiting nearby shops etc..it will benefit a lot of ppl.
(i know what u mean it sounds huge amount to spend 1 day..but it cant be viewed in just in that narrow viewpoint)

poverty can also be seen in negative way. A person can learn a vocational trade in 1 month even and better their lives. sometimes poor ppl are also bl**dy minded and dont want to make changes. I have seen some who can get aggresive when told ways to change.
(but i do think that most poor ppl have a mental problem or are dysfunctional in some way )

Will it be Telangana or Andhra - the jokers in this state can not think beyond fighting and putting down one another .The last in their agenda is the people whose lives have not improved and who can not even get a single good meal. Each of the Ras**ls as used by Rajanikanth is trying to loot and out the state one century behind.
