MPs can increase their allowances and perks 500% to 1.5 L a month, MLAs can follow, then bureaucrats, Govt employees.

Impose tax on water, air, and crapping also to sustain the above

# We live in a nation where Rice is Rs.40/- per kg and Sim Card is free.

# Pizza reaches home faster than Ambulance and Police.

# Car loan @ 8% but education loan @ 12%.

# 2 IPL teams are auctioned at 3300 crores and we are still a poor country where people starve for 2 sqaure meal per day.

# Assembly complex buildings are getting ready within one year while public transport bridges alone takes several years to be completed.

THINK ABOUT IT.

INCREDIBLE INDIA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blame ourselves (voters) for these sorry affairs. When we choose incompetent people to rule us we deserve such treatment. We scream at the top of our voices "mera bharat mahaan" and "Jai Ho" but inside we are most corrupt and ruthless people not bothered about our nation or its dignity. Hundreds of examples have been published or shown in Media in last few months how we are shameless and greedy. Latest example is our cricketars behaviour in West Indies after humiliating defeat. Do we still call our nation Mahan?

APpreciate compiling these facts which are contradictory & still we feel these are sign of progress. In fact the valley between poor & richer is increasing day by day & government is in deep sleep . On the contrary govt is formed because of these prro people who are fooled on the day of election by bribing with money & drinks . I would say increadiable people .

Very catchy slogans. Are you a communist sympathiser? Ofcourse, there is tremendous disparity but that by itself not a mistake of either of the groups. Blame it on the society of whom politicians are just a part. Govt might get trice the amount if it can unearth unreported income in the country. Now only salaried class pay their taxes by default.

LET OUR COUNTRY MOVE FORWARD.
by Shan Shan on May 14, 2010 05:39 PM  | Hide replies

This proposal should be welcomed and although I am coming under the perky tax rate. It gives relief to low income families especially those who earns less than 3 Lacs per annum and around 90% of Indians coming under this bracket.

The additional tax amount which the govt is collected should go for infrastructural development especially in the northern states where politicians and big land owners loot govt money which meant for development or upliftment of poor sections of society. We need to tendar it publically so that Major construction company's can bid from any where in the world and govt should have a proper monitoring mechanism everywhere and the reports should made public so that anybody can see what happens where and the amount of money flowing etc..

We should not cry foul rather fight for justice and development in our country.

What infrastructure are you talking about? Everything is built under BOT. Where does the government put in taxpayers money? People are paying through their noses to use roads and airports. Where is all the taxpayers money going? Haj Subsidy? Funding Madrassas? 3,000 crores for Madrassa's alone. Yet, there is not a whimper. How much money is the government spending on Kendriya Vidyalayas? Farm loan subsidy, fertilizer subsidy, exporting the fertilizer under some other name and importing the same at three times the price. Jai Ho!

u see govt is collecting taxes for funding MAYAVATI Status She has a very big budget....And u know she will wear ONLY Rs 1000 notes garlands of at least Rs 5 crores......just because she is a DALIT leader (else the amount wud be higher). Govt needs taxpayers money to FEED the terrorist KASSAB chikkan/mutton biryani...and it seems its from a 7 STAR hotel bcuz the amount spenton kasab was 31 crores (as last reported).
