Is it due to vested intrests and selfish motive they tax a few lakhs while crores of capital gains is allowed tax free to make rich become richer and poor become poorer? Ridiculous attitude.
It is ridiculous that government is planning on imposing starting tax at Rs.10 lacs. For a poor country where less than 10% of the population is perhaps earning more than Rs.10 lacs, is not correct. The taxes should start at incomes of Rs.6 lacs.

what??? the proposed draft amendment is to tax brackets 2L to 5L 10%, 5L to 10L 20% and 10L and above 30%
all the Indian jokers mocking mus and isl am about tax.....must realise that there is no concept of income tax in most gulf countries ....all u earn is all u take home ...... in india and us and developed countries ...one only dream about this
if only our govt cuts down on all its useless expenses like providing z category security to tom dick and harry we will save in crores.who cares for these vvips. the aam aadmi does not have means for one square meal.the govt should work for the common man.the vvips are living at the taxpayers expense and accumulate their wealth in tax havens. if the govt is strict the common man will be freed of tax burden.

the politicians are having soooo..ooo much black money,they are never raided or questioned. if you go thro'the past financial history of all neo-politicians,we will unearth billions of rupees.e.g DMK ,FAMILIES,LALU'S,D.RAJA,T.R.BALUJAYALALITHA,BAL THAKREY'S,SHARAD PAWAR,MURALI DEORA,to name a few.
i am a salried person, what ever i earn its already taxed in the form of income tax. so can somebody question the govenment y i should b paying taxes again in the form of SERVICE tax, SALES tax, TOLL tax, ENTERTAINMENT tax & 100s of other taxes. WHY? if u add up all the taxes all of us salaried people pay around 30 to 40% taxes. means if by my hardwork i earn Rs.100 i have to pay Rs40 as tax for what???

Mate, its ur money, y u expect some one else to voice ur concerns? Problem in India is we, we want to write on rediff "can somebody question the govenment ". Stand up for ur rights and question the authorities directly. If u dont have gutts, pay tax and keep quite.

Oh really? Salaried person is paying sales tax too? And others are not.
Plus govt babus are not showing their income under the table
Most of the business folks hardly pay taxes. Even if they pay, its so minimal just to show that they are paying taxes. Income tax is only for salaried. Salaried IT folks will be hit hard as they make good money. Netas who have invested crores in businesses dont pay anything. How many netas have PAN cards?
