does not matter what other countries are doing, no need to follow other countries, adapt own style in India, it has got huge resources, man power, intelligence....just utilise it in proper manner, make the Indian capital a trend setting city in law enforcement, following traffic rule, education, anti corruption, development and the first and foremost, ELECTRICITY & WATER supply........ start implementing and down the line may be after 100 years, at least India will follow the same rule/methodology and will grow like anything, other countries will be stunned by India's growth....

Forget comparing China u indian guys. Its a matter of time when this stunning bridges will fall over the seas & rivers of china. These are not the bridges of high quality constructed by British Engineers or the USA. The collapse of these bridges will be because of the low quality chinese products. China has never produced anything of high quality. Even the Olympics concert was duplicate not original made to forget so fast that the world has indeed forgotten China now. China can change only if they become democractic & the peoples representatives or law enforcers change the attitude towards their people. Until then china will be feeding low quality products to the entire world & killing millions of people (including their own) due to poor quality control. The Chinese are better businessmen than the Westerners. They know how to put their money wheir their mouths are. In terms of infrastructure, they use the best technology and material and ensure good quality. When it comes to trade, they know that price is the differentiator and hence use all means to keep their price low. They know people like Whiteman will still buy Chinese goods only because it is cheaper.
Very often, in the battle between quality and price (in articles that are not meant for long-lasting needs), it is price that takes home the money. You don't need toys that last for centuries, but you need infrastructure that does. This is where China is scoring over the rest.

I dont think we should ever compare china and India since we are two different political systems. I do not want to go into which is better but in china they will not discuss whether mono r metro rail should be there in PUne City. if ur chinese, let me tell u this. u r right in ur assessment about our political leadership, that they use democracy to hide their misdeeds. but dont put normal indian citizens under this category bcoz if india today has reached atleast this levels of prosperity, it is these citizens of india who are behind it and not the leadership of india. ur right, if not democracy or dictatorship or military, atleast a presdential system like USA would have helped india a lot more than a british parliamentary system. we indians are never going to accept communist/dictatorship/military leadership either. but i think a president led(elected by the people directly) leadership should do lots of good to this nation, bcoz he as an individual and the leader of this nation would be forced to be more accountable to the people and the country. In the current system no one is accountable for anything to anyone once he/she is elected for the next 5 yrs. parliamentary system has turnedout to be a curse for india.

I agree with Jaapaal, in India the line between the executive and legislature is practically missing. Hence the legislatures, you call them MP or MLA, carry a lot of weight. In fact the Government depends on them otherwise it would fall. Thus the entire system becomes corrupt. We should have Presindtial system in our country.
