I am a keralite. I did not know that 'most of the ppl in kerala' are converting !!
Moreover, the census figures for the year 1971 showed the % of muslims in the population as approx. 21, christians 20 and hindus the rest. In 2001, the respective percentages were muslims - 23, christians - 19 and hindus the rest.
So, in 30 years, there has been a change of 1 % in composition of the population !

Hindi ppl are rated the lowest form of human existence by UNDP report. More than 400 million in norht indian states are living worse than Uganda, Somalia and Ethiopia.
And here your concern is why conversion in Kerala.
Can you kindly post a link give facts, instead of like a typica north indian just talk nonsense? LOL.
Evey northy is jealous now that Kerala is better perfroming than PUnjab, Haryana and Gujarat.

You response is an example of why I believe that North Indians suffer from some cognitive deficiency. Please re-read my comment, and then ask yourself if/where I have stated that Punjab does not have its own language or if I have included it in Hindi speaking states!
I know for a fact that North Indians speak before thinking (especially while boasting - c'mon why let a few facts come in the way of a good boast, right?) The other day one northie wrote doesnt matter if all Hindi states are backward UP/Bihar have most IAS officers in top positions. Another northied replied 'EXACTLY'! As usual neither put any facts or data...just boast. When northies boast it becomes a fact they presume. The louder the boast, the stronger its chances of sticking. But here are the facts of the top IAS officers in the country today...and these are just a few from the smallest south state - kerala. Secy to the President of India (Christie Fernandes); Cabinet Secretary; Secretary in PMO office; the list goes on...Actually there are several media articles of the dominance of Kerala and TN IAS officers in the Govt key positions, and how when a Chinese delegation visited for secy level talks the 2 languages spoken at the table were Malayalam and chinese. It does not matter...these are govt positions, and keep shifting. the point is When a northy just comes and puts a boast, dont northies even care about facts...just boast away and loudly speak something and hope it sounds convincing enough.

I dont have the time to list all the top Kerala IAS officers, but there are several media article on the dominance of Kerala IAS officers (meaning those hailing from kerala, ofcourse in the iAS all IAS officers are shifting to various state cadres and so some of these could be official from different state cadres, as hapens to all IAS officers).
But thelist is really impressive. Home Secy, Telecom etc etc in addition to Secy to the President, PM, Cabinet

Sam, you are right there are many IAS officers from Kerala. But they can't do much because of the Corrupt Political System here. You know what happened to Raju Narayana Swami, the rank holder in IAS. :)

Thank you Exit Reality. I read about Raju Narayana Swami. What a great guy, top ranker through out. SSLC, IIT Entrance exam, IAS topper and then what a fantastic IAS officer, took on the politicians including his father in law, at the cost of his marriage! Amazing guy.
the country needs guys like him. what a personality!!!
And supposed to be a prolific author as well. Brilliant.
Yes the politicians forced him out....but he is too brilliant a guys to be put down for long. Proud to see such a brilliant Malayali.

Apart from Gulf dollars...when you exclude foreign money coming in Kerala still ranks number 7 in per capita GDP just one rank below Punjab.
With foreign remittance included it is Number 1! Way above Punjab Haryana Gujarat, and ofcourse the other B..i..m..ar..u north states.
Kerala has the highest life expectancy in the country, higher road (in kilometers) than Punjab, haryana and Gujarat! Number 1 in tourism industry attracts most visitors in a year, followed by Tamil Nadu.
Has highest car ownership in the country (even though Delhi sells more cars including to ppl from neighboring states).
No child labor in Kerala. Highest daily wages in teh country.
No ppl answering natures call on the streets, like in north India.
How about insted of investigating Kerala,improving the hell hole called UP bihar MP Rajasthan jarkhand and others.
how about saving the rest of INdia the disgrace of you people and your illeteracy, backwardness, honor k..ill..ing, bride burning etc

Pankaj...it is not that Kerala people don't want industries, but Kerala is a small strip of land 575km in length and 120 km wide in widest part and 35km wide in narow ends. Take away the mountains western ghats and what Kerala has is a small piece of land and it is densely populated. Bringing in huge industries will not be ideal due to enviornmental problems of which Keralites are very aware. So Kerala has to boost tourism and related industries plus IT etc. which doesn't need too much land.
