If you care to see the facts Punjab has actually got the lowest poverty line in India. Obviously it is not the wealthiest, but certainly the least poorest.

Kerala is the most richest state in india with least poverty, the lowest wage of a labour is RS.400. The labours have fix time for there work as office staff 8 hours, they have inbetween lunch break within thi 8 hour and we have to pay them for lunch apart from there wage. Even the labour class waer gold chain in there neck. its Kerala, its actually a Gulf of India. No mallus are beggars, you can hardly see a beggar in kerala, even if you see they are from other states of india came to kerala to have their livelihood.
First of all these article was posted on rediff one month back. Secondly out of 10 States 8 states are small states except Maharashtra and TN. If you want to compare then take states like UP, Bihar, WBengal, Andhra, MP & Rajasthan then the real picture will come out. Such articles are absolutely meaningless.
1. These are the smallest states in India 2. They depend on tourism a lot 3. Except for Delhi- Many People from all other states work outside india and bring the revenues to their state 4. These states are developed across notlike Maharastra( Mumbai/ Pune) , karnataka( bangalore, Mangalore), tamil nadu( Chennai/ Coimbatore), etc. 5. And all these states does not boast of a good economy like karnataka, maharastra, kolkatta , tamilnadu etc.
6. Infrastructure wise all these state are crap except Delhi
.. This Survey is not valid and its just a Gimmick... As collectively these states does not even make about 10 % of INDIA

ohhhh plzz... u black and ugly people what do u know abt himachal,panjab& uttarakhand??? u are not suppose to tslk abt us cause u black and ugly trible people of bihar,maharasta,andhra,tamilnadu,rajasthan...south indian cities are devoloping..but only few.but in our states like himachal and uttarakhand people are fair with white skin and litereate..so u blackis dont talk about us...we dont like to talk with ugly people and in banglore and mumbai also all gudluking people and models are from himachal,uttarakhand,panjab,and haryna...

If you distribute the wealth of Karuna and his family looted from the people of India among the TN poor, TN will have 0 per cent poverty.
India and Poverty go hand in hand..its just that some people are getting rich. Just go on any road anywhere in India and you will find beggers, hunger,poverty and dirt. Thats India. Mr. Ambani and Mr. Premji are doing what Britishers did to India for 200 years..just loot..they will become rich but people will get more poor, roads will be more bad and corruption will be more higher. People keep producing babies and we grow only in population and poverty..I visited Brazil a while back ..we are no way near anyone of developing country..Brazil, China and Russia of BRIC are WAY WAY ahead...India is at best like African country...
The rediff is such a idot cong savvy media house...try to first learn or get knowledge about the data base. before put any new check the new 1-10 time... here i saw u guys publish the tn have 66% sc population ru guys blind... tn have only 6 MPs seats and the population of tn sc is less than 20% please correct news.. else write ... before new this is for fun only data is not real data.....
