This is the current situation
by Em Kay on Jul 19, 2010 05:33 PM  | Hide replies

Most Keralites are in Middle-East
Most Gujaratis are in UK
Most Punjabis are in Canada
Most AP people are in US
TN is one of the very few states where people work there and benefit the state.

LOL..and you forgot Hindi states like UP Bihar Jharkhand MP Rajasthan which are the most backward in whole world, worse than Africa as Per UNDP report. YOur norhties are so illiterate and devoid of shame that you will come expose your ignorance after being told that you are worse than Africa!

God give northies some shame, please.

Read UNDP report on India's standard ofliving state wise. Kerala comes number 1, then Punjab and then Tamil Nadu.

Sorry it should be Tamizh Nadu...which will be thenew name. So get used to Tamizh Nadu, Northies. MInd it!

First respect the national launguage and call any state by their languages. You people are so shameless, you can disrespect your mother also. When you tamilians comes to any other states you also speaks in Hindi. Your Karunanidhi for his own interest make yourself and your state a frog in the well.I am also not well versed in Hindi.

I must Compliment Kerala . Despite of all odds like low employment opportunity they strive ahead. Literacy level exists in all stages. The Civic sense of the lowest section is also comparitively high . Good Wishes - Kerala

Thank you.

Nice to know that it is not impossible to come across one northy who is NOT jealous about Kerala.

Then you havent been around on the rediff boards after Kerala was shown leading Punjab Haryana and Gujarat. OMG the way Northy guys went bonkers was a funny sight to watch...lol. No norhty is bothered that 8 north indian states are reported to not only be the worst in India but also worse than 25 poorest countries of Africa, and have 400 million people living the most pathetic lives. I actually read some comments like, "South was lucky because it got IT investment only due to its good climate/weather as compared to north". Then the usual idli sambhar comments came from tussi mainus. then the comments about Keralites are only working as menial laborers abroad came from northys who are least bothered about their able bodied unemployed guys in the 100s of millions in Hindi states.

RB Singh is the first comment from a northy that says I must compliment Kerala. Northies are a very jealous lot when they see south progressing. I have lived in the north and even if north goes into the garbage bin, which Hindi speaking states have, northys have no problem....but South should not go up.

LOL..someone mentioned that Indians are like a basket of crabs that pull the one crab back that climbs out of the basket. Just read through the comments and you can see for yourself how tussi mainus are pulling kerala down.

In my experience Delhites are the most jealous about the South progressing.

Education makes the difference. Kerala has the highest literacy rate in the country so no wonder it is much ahead of the other states.

Health care, tourism are two. Kerala is a huge target state for Banks as they all want to find a foot print in the state due to the high volume of money. Largest Numer of ATMs.

But I personally do NOT want more industries in Kerala. REally. Let TN, AP, Karnataka develop the big industries. NO point polluting such a beautiful state. We need to preserve those INdian states that are naturally gifted with beauty like Kerala, HP, and the North East. Dont need smoke and fuel belching industries everywwhere.

Kerala should focus on services oriented industries instead. I have noticed a growing inflow of Tech/IT professional to the US from Kerala over the past few years...must be due to the IT parks in Kochi/TVM and infosys and other opening training/operations centers there.

BTW, there are hardly any 'good' industries anywhere in India !

Almost all are polluting, enslaving and hugely exploitative monsters that thrive chiefly on the ignorance and timidity of commoners !!

Kerala is in the list of ‘Top 10 Paradises of the World’ and ’50 Must See Destinations of the Lifetime’ compiled by National Geographic Traveler Magazine.

Kerala is the states with lowest poverty in India. Delhi is just state of central government of employees from all states.

Kerala is ahead on the scales of UNDP and other GDP ..other measures.

Keralites can genuinely feel happy and gloat over it.
Unfortnately, rest of the Indians and the world comprising of poor human beings - (keralites being God's own children, they are not human) super intelligent according to only themselves - know that these measures and scales are outdated, antiquated and not relevant.

For example: The Health Index: Number of nurses per 1000 people/populace.

Does it in any way reflect the reality?

Yes, it does if the graduated nurse were to work in among that populace. In Kerla's case that nurse invariably goes in search of proper job, and decently paying avocation either to TN or to North East. Which means the 'nurse' is to be counted in the place they work not they hail from.

2. GDP rate, its the poor keralite working his butt out and blood out in Gulf to send them some petro dollars. Now what is the native keralite earning in his town?

Nothing. Whereas in our neighboring state of TN, a town like Tirupur, pay 3 times (yes 3times) for a labourer as in Kerala. Well blinkered keralites might not agree but its the truth. The labourers are not graudates, they are 10th pass folks - but they make a decent honest living with fair quality of life and high earning. This is what would be called - smart living, not outdated socialist GDP growth.

KErala is a political/sociae-economic bomb waiting to explode.

Quality of life is very poor in Kerala even though you may have Petro dollars. Malus have highest rates of depression, alcohol abuse, suicides, all driven by a sense of aimlessness...

Kerala has the highest Quality of Life Index in India. Check UNDP report for 2010 released a couple of days back.

Only three Indian states have this index above 5. Kerala,Punjab, and Tamil Nadu. Only Kerala hass above 7.
