Rediff did not publish this with good intention. Look at the states names Bihar, UP and West Bengal, no mention of the states like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. All of us know the facts of farmers suicides are happening in these states.

Do you know anything about farmer suicides ? If not, shut the hell up.
They are not happening due to poverty but due to bad policies.
It's more due to using bad seeds, new variety of seeds like BT Cotton and falling into debt trap.
Poor people dont feel the need to commit suicide even if they lose everything. These are people who once lead a respectable life and dont want to be looked down upon.
Not saying there is no poverty in Maharashtra and AP, but dont assume all farmers suicides is because of abject poverty. There is more to it than that.

Responsibility is vested with Congress
by VIJAYAKUMAR on Jul 13, 2010 09:53 AM  | Hide replies

Pl. understand congress is ruling the country for more than 63 Years (except 7 years by BJP). Until 1956 Indian money value equal to dollar. i.e. one rupee = one dollar. After Nehru, the corruption is formed everywhere and the money deteriorated against dollar. Even now, congress is wasting pulic money by introducing rural employment scheme. i.e. 100 days work in a year. Here the workers are not utilised to the fullest. Moreover they are deployed in any national constructive/infrastructure work. The Rural workers are deployed for just 2 to 3 hours in a day and they are paid to Rs.80/- only instaead of Rs.100/- (Govt. announcing Rs.100/-). Instead of wasting fund Govt can take immediate initiative to connect Ganges and Cavery so that real development and green environment will be sought and by which poverty can be avoided. Will the Govt stop this non-sense scheme and deploy the worker in national constructive work like connecting rivers.

ALL THESE STATES MENTIONED ARE NOT CONGRESS RULED STATES.
WE HAVE THE MAYA, BYP AND OTHER REGIONAL PARTIES.
THESE SMALL PARTIES CANNOT BRING DEVELOPMENT ONLY THE CONGRESS CAN BRING DEVELOPMENT.

well said my friend, in a lyman language, or the aam aadmi, congress has eaten it's own country like pests and ants. It was BJP who stopped pakis at kargil and had an LOC, congress has been making agreements (shimla aggree.), otherwise pakis would have sit on our heads in delhi. BJP was write in saying that "what congress has maligned the country for 50 yrs cannot be fixed in 5 yrs time". My dear friend, not only the labours even in institutes, orgs, govt deptt, the students and the workers are not given the promised amount and facilities. The heads are eating the money for there own trips and benefeciaries. There is hell lot of list of failures in the govt. But who is to listen, and where & why to speak. because in our country the one who speaks the truth, is condemmed by govt., police, law. Kyonki ek imaandar aadmi bardaasht nahi kar saktey hain yeh log...

Dear Friend, Constitution has been keep on amended many times since independence. For amending constitution too, Govt only can do, not common man. If the Law is strict like in Gulf countries & Singapore we can do better for this largest democratic in the world. So Govt only can better as per the situation from time to time.

for you US may be God. That doesnot mean it is so for every one. There are millions who respect him. As far as killings are concerned check what your dear party did in Delhi in 1984. This country needs uncorrupt leaders for development. It is a pity that even educated people like u cannot come out of your religios bigotry and support a honest politician and adminstrator.
