It is Sonia Manmohan model of socialism, We will see another 6 crore people Below Proverty Line in UPA II rule.
Our country is going to create more than 50% of the population. Where will the demand come from children, students are retired people. Is there that much business in India where 70% are living below poverty level. I being a post graduate find it difficult to get jobs.

Yes the mo-ron who wrote it doesn't know how to count! 570 million is 57 crore which is half the entire population of India!
GoI and particularly is hiring big way to fill in the vacancies created by jawans being killed by terrorists, naxals and separatists in J&K...... congress is fulfilling its promise of 5 lakh new jobs made during lok sabha elections
Re: 570 million is 57 crores....not 5.7 crores

The article says that the present work force is estimated to be 520 million.
Apparently, the grandiose plan is to create 50 million additional jobs to take the total work force to 570 million, not create 570 million new jobs.
But rediff can breathe easy, the millions of Indians are not familiar with millions, nor can they count or visualise crores.
Leaving aside the numbers, and coming to the issue of creation of jobs itself, we have heard too many such declartions, plans, intentions from politicians in the past which have remained as such - i.e. declarations, plans and intentions without getting converted into any meaningful actions and actual creation of jobs.
I agree, there has been a lots of improvements in jobs and salaries, 12 years ago, salary of R.S.7500 was a big money. Only few of them used to get such pay.
