Windpower is not even a drop in the ocean compared to India's needs. For 1 Billion people we need nuclear power and solar power. Sun is available everywhere, wind is not...
Re: Re: Re: Curse in Disguise
by zindaa hoon on Jul 02, 2010 11:57 AM
But Sun between 6 AM to 7 PM is enough to charge batteries for rest of the period. Wind which is available is normally not strong enough to turn a turbine. That is why wind-mills work at only a small number of places...

At the end of the day, everyone wants to make money…..without this also they cannot even run a charity for people like you Mr. DS, so that everything is free for you. by least the TATAs are far better than Gujus Ambani’s, they are thinking and try to implement if possible, but Ambanis thinking time is spent on how to suck blood from Indians and they become rich and richer every day.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Curse in Disguise
by digvijay singh on Jul 02, 2010 12:57 PM
Yes TATAs are smaller then Ambanis but they share the same title businessmen..tell me why goverment do not provide clean drinking water..you will say they do not have money..but I give my damn to this that they do not have money..every thing in this system is designed to suck the money from common people in one way or other..by hook or crook..on the name of innovation or following west..

No,I mentioned two institutions where I was personally involved In Tata cancer see for yourself the quality of work and profile of patients They come all the way from Assam,Meghalaya, and of course Bihar and UP Tatas are in business to make money as any other business man but percentage of profits they plough to social work, education etc is second to none Only Wellcome research foundation comes to my mind
Re: Re: Re: Re: Curse in Disguise
by digvijay singh on Jul 02, 2010 08:24 PM
Tata Cancer institute is run a research lab where only poor are experimented and once the results are confirmed they are shared with the worlds top research institution and based on that treatment of riches in executed in hospitals where people from asom, up, meghalaya can not even dream to go..like Nanavati in Mumbai..I AM AFRAID THAT PEOPLE OF MY BHRAT DO NOT HAVE A BIG PICTURE IN THERE HAND to understand WE BHARTIANS ARE IN BIG TROUBLE

Sorry Mr Singh you are totally wrong on cancer institute.Experiments goes on in any disease for new drugs, new methods in treatment all under permission from DCI and data shared Nothing clandestine about it I personally feel you are not clear or unable to communicate what people of your bharat need and you are biased on Tatas I dont expect you to glorify but you should not bad mouth them for argument sake

Hi Mr. Singh agree to your point that at the end of the day they are business men but business men with ethics and trying to uplift the standard of the society and bringing in things which are in the reach of the common man. There are very few business houses who's aim is not money and Tatas are right on the top in this list. When a business helps the common man to achieve what he cudnt have achieved without the innovation of a certain business money automatically becomes a biproduct.

If you look at the SWACH product then there is ultimatly no innovation per say..only thing is they are marketing it in this way..e.g they say TCS has invented the technology which is being used in SWACH..the fact is they are using wood powder but packed in a fancy jar to clean the water..the same method is used in other common filters..GUYS please understand..FIRST NEED WAS CREATED WITH THE HELP OF GOVERNMENT AND AND THEN CONVERTED INTO BUSINESS OPPERTUNITY...if u will think out of the box or from a different frame of referrence you will understand the BIG GAME BUSINESS MEN PLAYS..

Good that we have Digvijay amongst us.. Else we would never have known what all bad things TATAs did.
Digvijay - please carry on.. we love reading stories..
Right from Jamshedji Tata, Tata Family always give their initiative FOR National Interest and considering Common Man of Rural India...which really expected from so called Politicians and Rulers to suck the blood of Common Man...Really we respect Tatas and hope every support from our politicians in their vision of " SELF CONTENT STRONG INDIA ."Best Wishes to Tatas.
TATA JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE MONEY BY FOOLING PEOPLE, IF THEY ARE SO CONCERNED ABOUT POOR PEOPLE THEN WHY THEY ARE NOT GIVING POWER TO RELIANCE AT LOW COST,RELIANCE IS A BIG DISTRIBUTOR OF POWER IN MUMBAI,THEY PROVIDE CHEAP ELECTRICITY TO POOR PEOPLE NAD TATA WANT TO STOP THAT POWER AND SUPPLY IT AT HIGHER COST TO OTHER STATES,HOW CAN THEY SUPPLY POWER GENERATED IN MAHARASHTRA TO SOME OTHER STATES.
Re: TATA IS FOOLING PEOPLE
by Abhay Phansekar on Jul 02, 2010 12:23 PM
You are far aaway from the facts. Today Maharashtra is dependent on other states for power. The tussle between reliance and Tatas for distribution of power in Mumbai, the consumers want Tata. They are really pi**ed off with reliance.

Mr Prabhakar, appears to be a POORLY informed/poorly read person, to be speaking for Tatas like this.

Digvijay Singhji, what are you trying to get out of it?
Tatas are known for their wealth for ages. It is not by one generation. If you are trying to prove Tatas are businessmen without ethics, why don't you come with an article which will help many people.
Re: TATA IS FOOLING PEOPLE
by Yatin Shirali on Jul 02, 2010 12:00 PM
who says reliance gives cheap electricity to bombay? u have got ur mathematics wrong. tata power is cheaper than reliance power. if tata gives power to reliance at low cost, then reliance will sell it to consumers at high rates. in fact it is reliance which is fooling people.
A lot depends on how you approach things. If we Indian start feeling that we are the best that we are the best and will remain best and work with great confidence. We must always remmeber that "Zero System", "Point System" and our country has been the world guru for a very long period.
for your information, there is one company in basaveshwarnagar bangalore doing this kind of small windmills and tatas are not the first one to bring this up. this windmill is a proven one and only this enterpreneur is lacking back up of a company like tatas.
Re: already someone is making this...
by zindaa hoon on Jul 02, 2010 11:47 AM
Suzlon group from Gujrat is making wind-mills for power generation. But it will generate little power for the investment needed...
Kilo Watts of wind power will do nothing for a nation like India. Plus wind is not available in most of nort India. This idea is all junk. Only nuclear power or solar can save India...
Re: Not good enough...
by Niraj Prasad on Jul 02, 2010 11:45 AM
you are fool. 2kw is for one individual home not the entire nation. this is a very good idea. i wud love to install one of those turbines on my rooftop if it is affordable.
Re: Re: Not good enough...
by zindaa hoon on Jul 02, 2010 11:48 AM
Look at the wind-map of India. Wind power can be generated only in a very small number of states. There is not much wind available in most of North India. Check on google..
2kwh = 2 kilowatt times hour (not kilowatt per hour)
2 kilowatt is more than sufficient to power a average home. unless they use heaters and ACs they will alomst never exceed 2 kw.
but the question is not 2kw ... a wind turbine will never generate constant power as wind speed tends to vary wildly ... 2kw is the maximum capacity. so at best the wind turbine can be used to augment utility supply, which is not bad if the cost of the equipment is not very high compared to a diesel generator.
