LET THERE BE NO ELECTION FOR FIVE YEARS.TO BEGIN WITH ,PARLIAMENT/STATES/MUNICIPAL LEVEL, GO TO ELECTION AT THE SAME TIME AND THEN NO ELECTION/BY ELECTION ETC FOR FIVE YEARS.BUDGET BE PRESENTED TWICE IN FIVE YEARS.MAY HELP TO REDUCE CORRUPTION TO SOME EXTENT.

But senior officals retire in 60 or 65. They dont leave job to allow new jobs in place, there should be some mechanism to remove them from job allowing youngsters to grab job while closing on corruption

Corruption prevails in Media, Govt. Offices and Pvt. Organizations equally. Doctors, Lawyers, C.A.s help prepare false reports and rates are there for every mis deed. Who soever gets opportunity, majority of them misuse and do not carry human values. This is pityful situation, whereas system does not spare those who actually are not corrupt or oppose corruption.

Blame has to be put when at least 5% of the Indian agree. It seems to be a case of putting down the Image of India Inc, that is booming in the world economy.
Independent India can be divided into two eras: Era # 1 (Till 1991). This period was ruled by Nehru/Gandhi family or like minded PMs (Morarji, etc). Era # 2 (Post 1991). This period was ruled by several parties but no Govt was headed by Nehru/Gandhi family. The differences between the two eras are: • Corruption, favoritism took deep roots in Era 1. We had to bribe even to get phone connection, bank loan, 2-wheeler, ration, locker in Bank which is not the case now. In Era 2 things have improved but still taking time to completely get removed. • Infrastructure development was put on hold immediately after Independence till it resumed in this century. • Communal riots were so frequent that it got accepted as part of life. Now communal riots are very infrequent and nobody tolerates it. • No economic development during Era 1. 10 years to get a phone, 8 years for a 2-wheeler, 6 years for Gas connection, 2 cars, 2 2-wheelers, 1 Phone company, 2 TV channel. The Era 2 is much different. Compared to this, in Era 2 is much different. E.g. Instantaneous phone connection, several options to get a phone, 2-wheeler, car. More than 100 TV channels, etc. etc. • Nobody in Govt was accountable in Era 1. Govt jobs was like ‘kaam karne ki zaroorat nahin hai’. In Era 2, even old hats like Laloo have to show results. Bureaucrats and Govt employees are very accountable these days.

Clearly, the era 1 was the darkest period in Indian history marked by institutionalization of corruption, bigotry, favoritism, poverty, economic stagnation.

This is quite true and there is major shift moving towards top management specially in govt sector....almost all major politicians are someway or other corrupt.....army is completely corrupt at the top....managing balance sheet is a trival issue in india inc....big gaint multinational companies do this...purchase process is a currupt process unless someone really true to his or her self is tre....exception are there and thats a reason they are exception....but at large india inc is going towards russian and italian currupt mafia...
