bihar used to be amongst the best administered states in india till the 60s.. then came "socialism" in the 70s.. the mahamaya prasad govt in 1970.. and JP's sampurna kranti..it ruined bihar in record time! law and order broke down.. rules and regulations became a joke.. everyone started going around with massive chips on their shoulders.. discipline became a dirty word.. with plenty of excuses for all sorts of rebellions and violent disorderly conduct! its ironical that one of JP's disciples today is leading the about turn back to order and discipline ! bravo!hope commie loving kerala and mamata / maoist/ intellecual loving w bengal learn a lesson from this..
Everybody including Mr. Shenoy knows that Kerala achieved all that basic necessities of road connection, power connection, pump connection, housing, etc. etc., on an average years back. Almost all the nook and hook of the Kerala including forest areas are connected with roads (may not be 4 lines highways). Similarly, all other basic facilities are provided. Hence, no need for achieving fresh target for such things and get publicity. What Mr. Shenoy must be thinking of luxury over necessity. Just becuase of CPM Government is in power, it is unfair to criticise always.

Mr. Nair, the Bull shit is coming from your side not from Shenoy. Kerala is in a total dismay situation coz of a sole reason that most of the earnings are coming from outside the state. Having a power connection or a road is not a full yardstick, but just one among them. wht will happen if dubai is fully closed and all the NRK return ? kerala will have to be closed.
Development and production should be within the community and state has to go that direction. See how gujarat, karnataka and now Bihar is going...
Only destruction oriented works were done by the kommies in kerala and it has created the negative mindset in most of the mallus.. including you and me... We need to come out of that...

I know Shenoy was writing to please the Congress party. It was not better even in their regime. He tries to please his masters in the party. The figures are not worthy discussing. No state can match our strength in Many fields. Keep in mind Kerala has already achieved at par with the West in many human development index. Why the hue and cry. Agreed Comminists are no longer the same old disciplined party. But barring a few not all are corrupt. The new generation leadership is progressive minded. Any way the state lacks in developmenat projects of industries only.

If that's the case then he will be fooling himself, and its up to people of kerala if they also want to fool themselves or want to develop.
how this growth rate is calculated. suppose gujarat increased its level from 200 to 220 then the growth rate is 10%. and bihar increased its level from 4 to 6 then the growht rate is 50%. what a comparison. instead of this % y dont rediff bring the actual datas

I am not talking here by reading statistics but I have been to kerela myself on a holiday trip. Our car drove on one of the main roads to this tourist destination and yet there were so many potholes and hard grit, even the shock absorbers of the car could not help. i had severe back ache and nausea after that drive.
one who never criticizes is not a good friend. you should take this criticizm positively adn uproot the lazy useless commie govt which has done simply nothing for your state all this time. same applies to wes bengal where i have been too and believe me Kolkata seemed like a hell.

I agree with Nai. I think its time people of kerala take strong steps (it wasn't an easy decision for people of bihar too, and they took long time to recognize the right person as CM). Kerala has huge potential in tourism which i think is hardly exploited, i don't have any doubt that any person who has been to kerala would admit its "God's own country" as most of the keralites say. Another advantage is the people are educated so communication isn't a problem as it is in karnataka and TN but these advantages are discarded by horrible roads.

This is the beginning of Bihar and UP for growth, actually this growth should have taken place long back. But majority of leaders did not given thought to develop their own state and they were bussy in developing metro city's like Mumbai...etc... but now people these states realised and now giving attention to ther state so this shuld be taken as a positive step....but still long way to go to compete Gujrat, many more Leader like Narendra modi require in this country to be prosperous.

This is the irony of india, the state which is known for producing indian PM's is still in this condition. Its high time UP join Bihar in the positive direction.

Bihar was never a maligned State,It has enlightened the entire world. It was corrupt leadrship of some pol parties who used and abetted Lalu to plunder Bihar as happened in Jharkhand during KODA adm.
CPM is only intersted in welfare of the party. The party and leaders amassed huge properties during the last four years of misrule in Kerala where-as Bihar is governed by honest and dedicated leader like Nitish Kumar
