Statistics are marksheet of Progress
by pradeep kumar on Jan 14, 2010 04:48 PM

Statistics are Statistics which gives us the data of development of a particular area /zone/state or country. What Bihar is giving to the Central Statistical Organization. It should have given twenty years ago but unfortunately previous Lalu regime has done nothing for his own benefit. He thought the poor and downtrodden and Muslim supporter will always support him for better life. But one cannot cheat any body or community for long. Now he is nowhere his own party people have left him in lurch and he is in state of shock what to do and from where should start to gain the lost ground. Bihar was among the best govern state till 1960. Then slowly caste creed and lust for money and power has ruined its historical glory of Ashoka The Great, Chankya, Arya Bhatt and many more It was the seat of Learning since time immorial The Nalanda University is a burning example of it. It has history since Ramayan Period to Mahabharata period. Mata Sita was born in Janakpur, which is situated in North Bihar The Great Magadh King Jarasanda was the part of Mahabhart Yudh. The Karn (Kunti Putra) was the king of Anga Desh, which is situated in east Bihar. It is not a maligned state. What we need is to be fair in writing anything against any one. One should not be prejudiced. Once this part of our great country has given golden age in the annals of history of India. Again it will prove this.

What do you call people who
by Sachidanand Shetty on Jan 14, 2010 04:11 PM  | Hide replies

1) Who are like parasites
2) who don’t work
3) who don’t let others work
4) who murder people
5) who stop progress/ development of any kind
6) who cry at the drop of a hat
7) who want to enjoy everything that’s opposed to their ideologies
8) who don’t like people who question their nonexistent ideologies
9) who repeat lies again and again in the hope of making it the truth
10) who blame all their faults and shortcomings and almost everything on others
11) who like to share the loot but don’t want to work for that
12) have no responsibilities and enjoy the fruits of others labors.
Left front meaning "Harthal". They only knows how to protect, no solution, no ideology

Answer to the above question is very simple

COMMUNISTS

They can not accept any changes because they wanted to make their cadets to be more poor and poor so that they don't loose the vote.
Thy were against "Quit India"
They were not accepted India's Independent till 1950
They were against computer literacy but prakash Karat's can own a laptop

They are against US & UK etc. but their son's and daughters can study or work abroad.

So.. Communisam and Marxism are only for the poor cadets

Commies who do not want India to catch up with China...They do not want India to be ahead of China,

Its high time BJP buy a news channel, i have seen all news channels are controlled or run by congress. I didn't find any news channel giving reports on bihar's growth or gujrat's river interlinking project which is by far the best achievements of any indian govt (I recall there was a channel showing a debate of experts on river interlinking and experts were of the opinion that river interlinking in india is not feasible and we don't even have the techonology to divert the river's route, and Modi govt has done what was impossible in india and that's why 75% of Katch area has water now).

Shame on Writer !!
by DHIRAJ GUPTA on Jan 14, 2010 04:00 PM  | Hide replies

Mr Shenoy,
You should be ashamed of this article and Rediff is to be blamed for putting this Stupid article .
How dare you say "it is humiliating to hear that even Jharkhand outpaced Kerala in providing services to its citizens"
and "we should be comparing Kerala against Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu rather than with Bihar"
You seem to be 2 fascinatde with your own state.
until all citizens unite and think of whole INDIA as a country concept rather tha mine state v/s your state,it is not going to wotk
The theme should be "ONE INDIA"
I had read many years back "If KERELA is God's own Country ; let God only help it "
Seems like God and kerela people have taken cue from that
so DO NOT BE FRUSTATED

TVR shenoy is anti-left
by Sunil Chandrashekharan on Jan 14, 2010 03:56 PM  | Hide replies

If you look back at the history of TVR shenoy's articles , Every article ends up bashing the left. I think he has selective amnesia. From the statistical organization report he took the worst figures and highlighted it. The same report says highly about health care and education in Kerala (Go to http://www.mospi.gov.in/) . You could have mentioned it. Kerala already has most roads built over the years, so there is no need for new roads. So naturally the figures are lower. Also because of population density new roads are hard to build as it involves displacing population unlike other states. Other states the roads has been neglected since independence and there is scope for vast improvement. I am not saying everything is good as it should be but this article is a classic example of Shenoy Gimmick.

when you get time check the state of roads in kerala and then you say,he is anti-left.ernakulam or cochin the so called economic hub of kerala has pathetic roads and you say roads are good in kerala.average speed on kerala highways might be 20-25km/hr and still accidents happen in plenty.
population density might be high, but people should find out new ideas how to build more and efficient road system without displacing people even if it involves higher input costs.
ur hero azhikode said good roads are for style-bhais to roam in style, when you have such senile intellectuals who dont know what to say and when, then how can your state prosper.
crime rates are low in kerala based on people not lodging complaints at police stations.finally cops take decision from home ministers wife.kerala cops are good in one thing, moment they start to talk a shower of abuses will come, atleast in other states have seen they atleast ask you with a sense of respect.the moment you enter kerala from walayar or muthanga, excise dept guys asks questions using eda poda-these are all the qualitites of a 100%literate state.it is gone for the d0gs

BINDAS BOL
Only god can save us as no hope from UPA govt.
by BINDAS BOL on Jan 14, 2010 03:54 PM

It is very unfortunate part of our india that UPA minister's are involved in price increasing. Almost every minister has proposed to increase the prices either it is food items, petrol diesel etc...... where is hand of congress with common men ? I think congress hand is on common men neck......All black marketers enjoying lot of profits because of inflation almost 100% for everything. If you see their profit margin since now almost 10 years profit they made it thanks to our honorable minister Sharad Pawar....Congress govt should have declared emergency and should have called immediate meeting to all leaders till this inflation problem resoloved....but no hope from congress.

by Sandeep Mukherjee on Jan 14, 2010 03:54 PM

bihar used to be amongst the best administered states in india till the 60s.. then came "socialism" in the 70s.. the mahamaya prasad govt in 1970.. and JP's sampurna kranti..it ruined bihar in record time! law and order broke down.. rules and regulations became a joke.. everyone started going around with massive chips on their shoulders.. discipline became a dirty word.. with plenty of excuses for all sorts of rebellions and violent disorderly conduct! its ironical that one of JP's disciples today is leading the about turn back to order and discipline ! bravo!hope commie loving kerala and mamata / maoist/ intellecual loving w bengal learn a lesson from this..
